G'day Andy, The bowie is back.🔪😃 I use a diamond steel to sharpen my knives and a butchers steel. A bit of fleetwood mac Stevie nicks and Tom Petty to keep you company.🎸🥁🎶 Whitey is becoming a lengendary lure on bucket mouth barra.Owgoodzat!! You catch many more barra then me Andy. I don't get out as much as you. I'm yet to get a metre barra in salt. I have caught a 120cm in Tinaroo Dam. Most of my barra have been in the sixties. I don't always target them. But they are the sports fish of NQ. I used to have a whole family of double bar finches. I love them! I still have some of the next gen in my copper tops tree. I have a male and female bower bird taken up residence at my place. He loves anything with colour as you know. I do get different native birds at my place throughout the year. Including a pair of pale headed rosella's that mate for life. 🦜🦜I got bottle brushes and had grevilleas but lost them to white ants. Nature is a wonderful thing Andy. Awesome stuff Chris thank you & Whitey actually drives me mad mate haha and yes mate I grew up on the cattle property in Western QLD and we had Bower birds galore and those fellas are really great imitators and when we were kids they would copy us and sometimes Dear Mother would actually think it was us lol.. Don’t worry about me catching more Barra as I actually pretty obsessed with it and i reckon you’d go alright Mr BB and talking of Bushland B I’d be think your places with all the birds would be a pretty amazing spot as you described it so thanks a million Chris def appreciate you mate tight lines and see you on the next one..!!⭐️👍

Eusebio mate don’t know where you live but probably easiest time is at low tide and first of the incoming and all depends if you’ve got a boat or not but any lure up to 6inch or vibes around 20grams are good or 5 inch soft plastics go well and good lures are raptor lures.. thanks mate and good luck..!!

Hi Andy, My local creek the Bohle River holds the record for the biggest Barra caught in NQ. Eddie Riddle a local caught a 130cm Barra on rod and reel. You can watch the battle on you tube. The big female was released to do more breeding. Tight Lines, Mr Major🎩😄

G’day Mark and trolling both ways mate but if the current gets to hard I’ll avoid that part of the river or go with it.. I look for the pressure points ie the corners a back Eddie’s and when I find fish I’ll turn around and keep working em.. cheers mate..!!
