Update: I just super glued the peg back into place, it obviously doesn't have as much range anymore but its not enough to bug me. Also the foot joints pop off easily so I'm hoping thats by design

I hope super glue was the answer. The right arm on my Infinity War Thor kept coming out. I realised after a while that it just needed to be popped back in using a lot of force, to which you would hear a click to confirm it was securely in place.
@dumbdrumm5631 Жыл бұрын
@@cookedit yeah I tried that, I heated it up with hot water, a heat gun and even tried pliers, but super glue worked.

What you need is me cement apply a bit to the joints pegs to give it extra strength

The leg popped off mine the SAME WAY…. 6:20 … the peg didn’t break; the leg is just REALLY loose…sigh. At least Figuarts gives you instructions on how to handle the figure…I wish Mafex did the same. Also customer service with these companies when you live in the US is virtually impossible ….it’s a shame because the figure is absolutely gorgeous….for the amount that you have to pay for these, they should be more accommodating…..

I have a funny relationship with Mafex figures. The looks, designs, and general feel are great, but the durability of the figures was always the weakest parts. I had a Comic Spider-Man 75 wrist joint snap unexpectedly after owning the figure for less than a week. Shortly after, I got a Superman Hush that I was really excited for, but the left arm fell off immediately after opening it. I haven't bought a Mafex figure since, but it's honestly pretty upsetting seeing how they still fail to correct the weak joint system after all this time.

Something about the way you talk makes me happy it broke on you.

Yeah I felt that too plus he was not treating any of it with care

I haVE the Hush Superman. His left arm kept on falling off. I took it off and used ultraviolet epoxy glue and covered the ball joint with it...essentially making the ball peg thicker. I then used a heat gun to soften the hole where the ball peg would attatch. Heated the hole until it was soft, then shoved the left arm with the thicker ball peg back into the socket...let it cool and viola! No more loose arm. I have 9 Mafex figures, and that was the only figure I had issues with. Looking to save for the Mafex Iron Man, but i just bought the new Mezco Superman last week, so I have to save up again if I want to purchase one

I know it's a pain but every fig I get weather it's legends or mafex straight out of the packaging I toss them in hot hot water believe me bro it saves you alot of trouble also be careful of the back pack the straps snap easy as shit
@AnotherGameEnjoyer Жыл бұрын
interesting, never heard that. Just wondering how the hot water affects the joints, but afraid of the hot water damaging the figure too.

@@AnotherGameEnjoyer as long as there's no soft good clothing your fine hot water softens joints more and more action figures are suggesting it now

this happened to me, I thought I broke mine aswell, I tried putting it on the joint and the foot kept dangling but when I used alot of force the leg was fixed

It's an ok figure. It annoys me how the spider is so messily applied. But I cannot believe you popped the leg out. When I saw you doing it I was worried it was going to end badly. I have 76 Mafex figures and despite some qc issues, I have never popped the legs out. As good as they are for sculpt and accuracy, you need to handle Mafex figs with care.

Sorry man, it's plastic not glass. It's an action figure it shouldn't be more fragile than a 20$ figure
@cookedit Жыл бұрын
@@dumbdrumm5631 I know. Just a warning. But your rotation of the legs was a bit too excessive which was causing friction against the hips and you yourself said you wanted to pop the leg out the first time.
@dumbdrumm5631 Жыл бұрын
@@cookedit yeah I wasn't trying to pop the peg off though, just the ball joint. I honestly didn't think mafex figures would actually be that fragile, I'll be much more careful with Scarlet spider and Jim Lee Nightwing because those are figures I'm actually very very excited for.

@@itisyourweirdkid Mafex customer service is not very good from what I have been told. I buy most my Mafex figs from AmiAmi. My Iron Man MK85 came with 2 right feet and they quickly sent me a whole new left leg with the left foot attached after I sent them a photo of the wrong foot and the shipping label on the delivery box.

@@cookedit I'll have to try them, I honestly only use BBTS because most of the toy content creators I watch recommended it.
