Strangers are far more likely to show acts of kindness when there is a camera crew around, filming the entire proceedings. This was not a true measure of anything, but people’s affinity to realize their 15 minutes of fame and free publicity. And courage is a dime a dozen when you’re followed, and ultimately blanketed, by a camera crew in case of an impending emergency. I’d say as a whole humanity is still a lost cause.
