Good spin on what is usually sitting at the other end of the map as a sniper. Though I am not much of a fan of such a wide frame for your damage. The RACs just tend to be inside walls etc. That's just a problem you got on stuff like the Marauder 2 or the Nightstar.

I generally don't like arm mounted weapons, but as this a brawling mech it doesn't hurt too much. But I have defo had that issue with it that you described!

The Marauder II is a scary mech - especially since the first time it shows up in the IS is with the Wolf's Dragoons, I mean nothing else could match it in terms of speed and firepower. The big downside is that it is a WIDEBOI; I am glade you decided to build it as a brawler because as an assault variant of the design it is meant to be a front liner, not sit up back sniping, if people want to do that, just use a regular Marauder.

Fun games to watch, thank U for the video! And I must admit an original build for this mech. I consider the high mounted energy weapons a weakness, as the side torso hit box gets much bigger, but the possibility to shoot above others` heads is an advantege on the other hand. MAD Alpha is quite good with 2xuac5 + 2xuac2.

Ooo I like the sound of the UAC build, Imma try that! And yes I agree, the high mounts can come with some great advantages, but also disadvantages :)

MAD-4HP 350 light, light ferros 8x MRM 10s 6 ton ammo 3 JJs DHSx6 MRM10s are essentially SRMs in terms of time-to-fire. MRM20s, 30s and 40s take longer to unload a full payload and thus are similar to lasers. firing 4x MRM10s and you'll be splashing 40 damage upto 632m which is double SRM range. Generates alot of heat but with the duck and unload meta going on right now can absolutely punish everything -- timberwolves and everything else with an overly large torso melt at the sight of this thing. Can even go toe-to-toe with an Atlas tuned for CQC (ac20, x4 SRM6s and couple Snubs) and win handily. Just a single coolshot to solo any mech in the game. Only problem is your an assault, and a very deadly one at that and thus will see yourself swarmed and focused if your team doesn't already leave you behind during ye olde nascar.

Your vids have me thinking of coming back to the game. I'm just not excited about finding a new group to stomp with, as my old pals have long since left the game. 😞 Is there still a decent sized player base?

Absolutely would be worth giving the game another go!! Lots of people are always looking for players in there groups so I'm sure you'd find people in no time!

I have no problems finding quick play and if you are competent you can find groups who drop together. Just don't bother trying faction play.

This marauder II hve same brawler power like my favourite fafnir 5E build, but my fafnir have 2 RAC5 and 2 MRM 30, quick to clean enemy assault mech at 600meter (with its range+10% quirk)

sorry but if half team does under 500dmg they shouldn’t do call outs or lead only good players or Aggressive type
