The fact that the giants are probably scattered throughout many different pantheons always intrigued me. In my opinion it would be the best way to introduce new characters from lesser known mythologies who in the god of war universe could be part giant, perhaps Maoi, the god of wind and sea could help artreus master his shape shifting ability if thiatzi doesn't join him, perhaps when jormungandr was sent back in time, the primordial force he may have created a "son" in the form of quetzocoatl who could teach him mastery over foresight. I honestly think it would be awesome if we played as a journeying artreus that travels all across the world to find his people, such an awesome concept.

I always saw the connection between monkey kings abilities and Atreus as well. I would love to see a game based in Chinese mythology with Atreus either being trained by Sun Wu Kong, or filling his role. The story of journey to the west also fits perfectly with the theme of God of War, taking down corrupt gods.

@@SomberP monkey king and Maui are pretty interchangeable, both are depicted as tricksters that have a penchant for transforming into other creature and can be good gods at times, with Maui pulling islands from the sea, gifting humanity coconuts and extending the day, I’m not sure what specifically the monkey king did but I know that he’s somewhat good, they could have maui teach Loki how to use his powers for the safety of others, and sun wu kong could teach Loki how to defend himself with his powers when the time is right

I wouldn't mind a spin-off, but imo, it's not God Of WAR without Kratos. I mean, it could have been... but Atreus's entire story was about being different from and better than his father. He should never be a God Of War, imo. And someone may be like, "But what about Tyr?" imo, he USED to be the God Of War, but basically became the God Of Peace. Or maybe even Wisdom. So not really fitting of the title, either. But also, similar to Kratos, they both USED TO slaughter, basically. Atreus doesn't. So he can't even start as GOW and evolve like they did. It just doesn't fit him, imo. So the spin-off could be called Loki... or Atreus's Journey, even God Of War: Atreus's Journey... mainly to sell copies, not because he fits the GOW moniker... but for the next mainline title? It has to follow Kratos since he's not dead and Atreus ISN'T a God Of WAR.

Remember that we can't really trust the Jotnar shrines anymore. Just because it says Skadi killed Thiazi doesn't mean she actually did lol. Maybe the real story is that Skadi killed a random eagle on purpose and pretended she killed her father, all part of some kind of plot to confuse Odin, much like the fake dead bodies we found in Jotunheim. Even Mimir's info can be skewed, being an Aesir and all.

I feel like Mimir would've been able to tell Skadi was lying... and Odin has dozens of Ravens, if not hundreds, in the GOW universe. I feel like we don't need to specifically be told what he sees. He's supposed to be pretty much all seeing and all knowing. I think we're just supposed to EXPECT that he was watching.

@@Paradox-es3bl I mean it’s very possible that it’s an open secret among those two. Odin still having been harboring feelings to a degree and Mimir not wanting to rock the boat when it came to one of Asgard’s best huntswomen. Plus Mimir has been charmed to forget things before, “Baldur being invulnerable to all threats physical or magical” coming to mind. It’s very possible she used Jotunn magic to cause him to forget or smudge the details of the story.

Maybe it's a part of the soul Some giants were killed by Thor, but some of their soul remains (considering the theory of Jormungander being either Hirimthur or Thamur) and many of the "battle" marbles are missing one of the 4 soul bits Which is why it's the "last resort" once in the marble, if they're destroyed you're gone

When you are in Ironwood and angraboda is leading you to the marbles, the grass that you walk through has this glowing yellow sparkly dust floating around it. Sure, but souls are blue in GOW, clearly. At least, mostly. Jormungandr's, Fenrir's, Odin's... so unless we just assume Faye's was super special, I'd argue that's probably something else.

Here's a thought: since part of Odin's soul was inside Huginn, when Odin's soul was destroyed and possibly also the part that resided in Huginn, then he would be a soulless creature like Garm. What if Huginn mindlessly follows Atreus because he was the last thing Odin saw and because he is a soulless creature, he places Thaizi's soul inside Huginn. Because it seemed strange to me that Huginn survived Ragnarok, and they purposefully pointed that fact out. Perhaps this could be the reason as to why? Like I said, just a thought.

What intrigued me at first was, if they are whispered into the Marbles, how could they have gone away? Weren't they awaiting in the Marbles for the "Day Gods Grow Good"? As for Thiazi being in the Marbles, there's actually 2 very simple and plausible explanations, 1, when Skadi saw the bird was her father, she took out his marble and whispered his soul into it before it moved onto the light, or 2, maybe it is Skadi's soul inside her father's marble, she asked to be whispered into his marble so it wouldn't be empty.
@soldiergigas14

Here is what i imagined would happened. Skadi finds her father close to death and before thiazi dies, Skadi uses the soul spell to put her father's soul into the marble. Angroboda's relatives find the marble and entrust it to Angroboda and then to Loki.

My proposal for the rough plot for God of Mischief: Loki and Angrboda ride Fenrir to different pantheons lands looking for giants, while being followed by Athena who wants to try and turn him against Kratos. They visit Egypt and help a young Horus (if I spelled his name wrong sorry I can’t remember if I got it right) deal with his father’s death at Set’s hard and stop horus from going on a young Kratos esk rampage. In China they assist Sun Wokong with escorting the pillgram to the west. Loki learning more about transforming magic from the monkey king and the two of them becoming fast friends. Athena drags Loki and co to what remains of Greece to confront him with his father’s actions but Loki ends up talk no jutsu ing her into let the scars fade and be better than her past self. Alternatively, boss fight. Give Loki an actual melee weapon, maybe have thurid thorsdotor join the gang at some point. Give Loki a fox form for recon and or a bird form. BIG SPECTACLE FIGHT at least one fight against a colossal foe like early god of war games. I’m taking flying across the map like when thor hit Kratos, enemies, bigger than you can physically see. QuickTime events. The works.

Obviously my theory isn’t that fleshed out but I thought maybe you could expand on it.

I don’t think Skaadi was tricked. If she knows her father was a great shape shifter and taught her how to hunt all the animals, I’m sure the way he moved showed her very trained and keen eyes that this eagle was no ordinary one and further more, her father. They faked his death, tricking Odin just as he was tricked by Groa and all the either giants about Ragnarok. Mimir was even tricked about that. Hence why he knows the version of Thiazi’s death, to keep the lie going

What if this is intentional and Thiazi actually did die. But before his last breath he was able to put his soul into the marble. Or hear me out.. Maybe it's not his entire soul. Is it possible that maybe it's a portion of his soul. Kind of like how brok was brought back? Just a theory.

Thiazi could have been marbled, but Skaadi wasn't aware of it because she was off hunting or something. Odin then doubles down on the trick by 1) making her think the eagle was her father and 2) making her think she killed him. Odin could have been controlling the eagle the whole time like a puppet.

I have a theory that in kratos vs ares we go to a play where there is a blue space so is it possible that, that place is where neflihime and musplehime meet ( sorry for speling)

What about thor’s soul wasn’t he part giant? Where did that go I saw the blue stuff come off his hand when he died which might mean it went into the hammer since he talked to it or he granted Thrud the power to wield it…?

Well, if you remember Atreus puts a giant soul into a soulless Snake in Jotenhiem. The snake becomes The World Serpent, which is thrown back in time at Ragnarok.

Maybe thiazi can relate to kratos because They were both tricked into killing a loved one so he would be a good little story line on the side

Thiazi probably was the first successful attempt to be used on a marble given the situation was desperate and not out of Fear. She saved her father , who now needs a body.

Hey Kaptain, are there any backstory on draupnir spear?? It is a close duplicate of the arms of sparta from God of War: Ghost of Sparta. Even the runic attack is the same with the L + hold square.
@KaptainKuba

Eric confirmed it was inspired by the arms of Sparta but theres no actual lore connection
@ItsButterBean1020

The inspiration could be due to Kratos’ blood, taking something from his memories and past

@@ragnarok9658 your wrong giant magic is versatile remember angrboda said that the vanir learned magic from the giants then did they own experiments Atreus is a god/giant hybrid so his godhood is the conduit to his magic as opposed to having it learned he can learn new magic from being a giant and of the Norse realm but he also has a set of powers inherited directly from his godhood

Soo I have been thinking of the tattoos on angraboda and hildisvini, they are very similar, I wonder if they are related, is hildisvini a part giant? Is he secretly angraboda’s father? I am pretty sure captain kuba can go on and on with this
