He has a way longer history of suffering. Life without parents, living in poverty, life changing overnight is not easy. Am not saying what he did to Zeynep is right. He has made mistakes. But the kind of life he has lived he does not want to see his loved one, Zeynep, in pain.. he does not want to be the reason for Zeynep's pain, which is why he is setting her free from him.

Exactly. Season one was beyond horrible and Zeynep and her family suffered so much and now because Haili loves Zeynep so much she is suppose to just forgive him. Why others thought once the truth was revealed that she wouldn't be mad is a mystery to me. Haili deserves all she is giving him and more.

Now this is really stupid. I know they have to stretch the story for the plot but instead of falling to his knees and asking her for forgiveness, he is still standing with his chest puffed. I understand the writers will add more confusion before all truth starts to unravel but at least don't skip the details of showing Halil a strong man, a man of his words, a saviour, a lover, a fighter, a provider and a protector.

The writers should have focused more of Halil's hardships and suffering than on him mistreating Zeynep in S1. Big misstep there. Though he suffered, most dont care cause it was in words rather than visuals. The writers were super high on revenge and negativity. Now, no matter how good he becomes, no matter how much he loves and cares for Zeynep, no matter how much he dies every single minute, he will not be the right person for Zeynep.
