This Massive update is AMAZING! | Colony Survival | Update 0.9 | Ep1

It's finally here, the new 0.9 Version of Colony Survival, and this update is MASSIVE! There are so many changes in the game mechanics and development in the early game progression, we're super excited to dive in, and rediscover the game!
Colony Survival - in a voxel strategy game with a first-person view of Colony Survival, gamers will have to build their own fortress and protect the population of their country from attacking crowds of monsters. A difficult burden will fall on the shoulders of the ruler. Monsters will attack constantly, interfering with the development of the settlement and creating a huge danger for him.
To ensure order and security, it is necessary to correctly give out orders. Some settlers need to be sent to cultivate the fields, others - to mine ore, and others - to build fortress walls. Warriors need to be sent to patrol the territory. Then the attack will not be able to catch the player’s people by surprise.
You can increase the productivity of your workers by creating various tools. Combat units must be constantly trained, equipped and their protective parameters enhanced. On the approaches to the fortress, it is best to set many traps. They will be able to delay part of the attackers. Monsters will often attack at night. Other players can help the user, so having many friends will be a great way to grow quickly.

I put off buying this game for years because from the videos and reviews on Steam it looked like there was too much micro management for my liking. After seeing your video I'm glad to be proven wrong. Can't wait to play it after work. Great video mate 👍

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it and decided to buy it. Honestly, you can micromanage as much as you would like. I prefer to spend my time building and working on defenses. I suggest you regularly back-up your gamesave in case something goes wrong (just in your local files folder through steam) and enjoy the game! Let me know if you enjoy playing it!

did they change the spawn mech where zombies won't spawn anywhere there isn't a clear path to your flag? Because if they didn't, you can put your mote in the red zone and as long as there is no way in or out for the zombies to follow they won't spawn in there. It was also easy to set up little outposts for your base before this update too. You could say put your fishers and water gathers in a box out by the river in the red zone, with beds and a market, and they would be there own little settlement. Zombies wouldn't spawn in the box with them because there was no clear path to your flag.

have not tested that thoroughly yet, but the full game is overhauled and it's really neat and more stable progression now. Then again, I didn't see a lot of changes in the pathfinding.

what is going on with the berry farming? The game thinks the grass blocks are berry bushes and grants all the berries to one actual bush?

to 2 actual bushes, to be precise, this way they don't waste time on walking from bush to crate ;) It's all about efficiency!

First bunch of colonists don't increase the spawn from 0, and you can pick the techs that increase the rate as well.

Thanks for the feedback! usual video length I produce is between 25-35 minutes, sometimes a little over. And I try to keep a balance, between building and explaining, and keeping just highlights. But feedback is always appreciated.!
