I saw that on the replay, too, that day. I wondered what had happened since the attention was on Howard, but when I saw Nick Scott and Cam Gill tangled up in the replay (Scott's fault, #21) it was clear. Poor execution and TB took advantage. It was rough to watch but I'm around 80 percent concerned about the defense, with the 20 percent of offense being 10 percent XL and his drop issue, and the other 10 being getting Chubba some help that can stay healthy. I truly am looking at this like a re-roll of Bryce's rookie season where he had all of those things that he did not last year minus a competent defense. Through that lens, he looked just fine after his rough start, and I have no worries about him being the starter next year.

If you are spending three hours watching a football game, played by grossly overpaid athletes who don't know that you exist, screaming at your television set like the game is life and death, and you become annoyed about the presence of a duck on the field, a duck who hasn't hurt anybody, then it's time to leave the couch and acquire some perspective. The duck probably has more intelligence than most of the players and coaches at the game. Honestly, the number of stupid decisions that I've seen from players and coaches in the National Football League makes me believe that the value of an American tertiary education is extremely overvalued. I know that a lot of these folks go to college just because they can play football, yet you'd think they'd pick up _something_ along the way.
