This Methodist Theologian Became Catholic (w/ Dr. Justus Hunter)

In this episode, I'm joined by Dr. Justus Hunter, a Methodist seminary professor, church historian, and theologian to unpack his family's remarkable story of Catholic conversion. From an "all in for Jesus" faith background, Justus and his wife, both devout and deeply connected Christians, began to find themselves attracted to the Catholic faith and, following an incredible journey eventually became Catholic.
Justus spins a fantastic tale this week full of ups and downs, miracles, incredible insights, and a healthy dose of Holy Spirit connections to explain what drew his wife, himself, and their family out of a faith tradition they loved into Catholicism - a decision which could've easily cost Justus his job, their livelihood, and their faith support network.

This is just my suggestion: You spent too much in your introduction and you have basically killed the enthusiasm of your presentation. Apply a little bit of strategy in how you present. You basically speak too much from the start.

Great content. My wife is a Methodist and she is very hesitant to convert to Catholicism mainly due to her attachments (as the gentleman put it) along with all the sacramentals. Your story gives me hope that she will cross the Tiber one day and receive the Eucharist with me one day - along with experiencing the incredible healing powers of confession. Thank you so much!

Dayton is a great town. Both our children were born there, my first Air Force assignment. Attended some Latin Masses before I was Catholic at our Lady of the Rosary. I'm no longer fully convinced of the claims of Rome, when compared to Orthodoxy, so I'm looking forward to hearing more of this interview. Thanks so much for the good content.

you should be aware that orthodox apologists are full of lies about Church history - the guiding authority of the Church of Rome in matters of faith and Church unity is already attested in the second century, and repeatedly in the third century and the next. Orthoox have no unity at all - you should read Saint Irenaeus in his Adversus Haereses, Book III, 3, where he explains that all Churches must follow the faith teaching of the Church odf Rome (he said that around the year 170) - a decisive sign that Orthodoxy are not the true communion of the Church is that they have been unable to gather a ecumenical council since they separated from the catholic Church

why are you not convinced?? - the history of the Church during the very first centuries makes pretty clear the dogmattic authority of Rome, and its role in presiding over the lifeof local chuches in times of crisis - don't believe in the false version of history conveniently invented by the orthodox crowd - like the church was ruled by the consensus of the patrisarchs, and so on
