I didn't even try the Midas Cup. I just stared playing last season, and I play Zero Build exclusively because I've heard many horror stories of the Build mode sweats. Despite this, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and try the Floor is Lava LTM. Biggest mistake of my life. In my first match, I built a little platform over the lava, turned around just in time to see someone build a one-to-one replica of the Empire State Building in 5 seconds flat, followed by a single sniper shot to the platform I'm standing on, causing me to fall into the lava. Then the camera pans over to my killer, and it's a guy in the full superhero gimp suit doing the Take the L emote. It was then that I realized I was not built for those streets. It's fine. I didn't want those Midas cosmetics anyway.

I was camping in a dumpster in my first match, but got kicked because I had to go do something. Then in the second match, I landed on the train, a person appeared and suddenly I was dead. There wasn't any sound or anything, I just died. Anyway I decided not to play anymore since I knew there was no way I'd get top 2,600 considering all the sweats, and I knew that I probably already have enough Vbucks for the entire bundle. I ended up scoring 9 points in total.

I think this is stupid too because Fortnite could easily fix this problem by changing the tournament style for early-access skins becuase the sweats won’t be losing any money like in their normal tournaments. They’ve done this too with the Lachlan and Lazarbeam cup, they just have to be more creative instead of leaving it in a style sweats are used to. They could easily make the games pickaxe only, or shockwaves and sticky grenades, or you heal when you swing your pickaxe, or any other cool fun idea. It doesn’t have to be this sweaty and it could easily cater towards both sweats and casuals without being a sweat fest.

After wasting half my matches dying before I even get my hands on a gun, I decided to just bush camp my way to the spray Also, I feel like a solution to this sweatiness is splitting up the leaderboards based on what your skill level is, and put you with players around your skill. Then you just have to get like top 500 or something. (They should be able to do this because I’m pretty sure this is how normal Battle Royale works or at least worked before ranked)

I only got to play two matches since I unfortunately couldn’t find enough time to play all 10 matches. Got around 40 points too, which sucks cause I could’ve had a chance at getting the new Midas. Epic should increase the tournament time by an extra hour anyways to be honest. Rotating, camping, and getting eliminations helped me reach 40 or more points. I’m going to play all 10 the next time they do these tournaments again.

Bro one thing I really hate about fortnite now is the skill gap, like my little brother just started playing Fortnite like yesterday (now he isn’t that good at the game) but I swear in his like 6th game in he got put into sweat lobbies, like where people got 18 to 20 kills

I think fortnite had a skill based matchmaking in the past but the dumb sweats complained that they was getting killed by other sweats and couldnt kill new casual or low skilled players so epic made it so its not skill based matchmaking

I tried my hardest and in the end had only 30 points, like you Tabor I play Zero Build and I was against players WAY above my skill level. I would have had more points if I hid on the edge of the map.

That was a good game, you did well but I noticed you still use combat pro. I recommend you try builder pro because It'll make it much easier, I used to use combat pro until season 9 chapter one and when I swapped I immediately got way better at building

I started the cup pretty strong getting 2nd place with 2 kills in my first game and then 4 kills at 30th place but then I got shot out of the air like 5 games in a row so I gave up

I decided to try this cup despite me not being a build god or anything and knowing I might not be even close to geting it, ended up getting 101 points and not winning it, IMO epic should change it from only top players getting it to players who achive certain amount of points to get it, just like you need 8 points for the loading screen, let's say, for example you would need 100 points, maybe then more people would try and had some chance

I got 33 points for 5 elims and placement points. My lobby's were so sweaty I hid majority of the time, would rotate and 5 players would immediately start a build fight right next to me.

why do you use your cones as pr-edited ramps? couldn't you just change your key-bind so you cone button is you ramp?

I’d like to see how Donald mustard did. Gaming companies want as many players playing their game as possible ..and so having players grind for free rewards would be more logical rather than forcing players to compete in an extremely frustrating quick cup. Imo. You did amazing tho tabor. GGWP Tabortime!!

I stopped at game 1 with 11 points that gave me the reward that was at 8 points. I knew it would be a sweaty wasn't going to waste all the time.

I play on switch and half of my games I got killed the second I landed. Luckily I was at least able to get the 8 points needed for the loading screen (or whatever the reward is) and all of those points came from placement.

I also have pc crashing when I play non ranked so when I play I crash. I switched console and gave up. Way too hard, I hadn’t even realized it was 10 matches limited.

idk why but it was soo laggy probably cuz people from different regions used mine i couldn't even loot a chest without it lagging while a sweat is gunning me down, so i just gave up lol.
