The guy in the civil war, Anton van der Laaken, was the leader of the Indonesian branch of the NSB. This branch mostly had members of mixed Dutch-Indonesian descent, as van der Laaken himself. There is not much info on the guy otherwise, I just found it a while ago on an Indonesian website.

Tan Malaka is such a based dude, in his own experience he almost joined Wehrmacht but was rebuffed, as the army did not accept foreigners at the time. even though he like to read book about Marxism he still admire the European Literacy in Materialism Dialectics and Logics, he write this cool book called "MaDiLog", while Doging that WW2 and multiple Japanese ocupation from China into Malaya Singapore and then Indonesia. in a way he is the forgotten founding Father of Indonesia
