That palette is probably the fugliest thing I've seen from Jeffree. The dark eyeshadows are the same color...so you can't create any different looks. Just one blue cool tone look. I look for at least 3 different dark eyeshadows (dark blue, dark red, dark green) and a ton of transition and shimmer shades to complement and complete the look. This launch ain't it. Bleh.

As someone who used to purchase his products and enjoyed them, this collection is weird. It seems like he threw a few colours on a table and seen what landed in the unit carton. Some colours look pretty on their own. The mirror is the star of the show tho, I think it would be the only thing I'd buy (If I still supported him & his brand) yes I don't like him, but he did have good products.. personally, jawbreaker would have been the last good interesting thing for me, the rest seems like it went down hill and boring.

When it comes to colorful/rainbow highlighters I used to go for the ones that had a purple,blue or green base and now I go for more natural bases with a rainbow or colorful multi-chrome like the ones from Bitter Lace Beauty or Kaleidos 😊 tends to give that glowing from within /dewy skin look with some rainbow fun 🌈

This color story is nightmarish. I haven't bought a JStar palette since the purple one, BloodLust. I really like his concealers and his lip glosses. His Hypothermia highlighter works amazing as an eyeshadow. His liquid lipsticks are amazing for people who create eye art. But I don't like him, I don't like that he's going to attempt to cash in on the new industry interest in skincare and I don't like the fact that as time has passed I feel like he tries less and less with his collections. That highlighter palette looks a LOT like his Northern Lights highlighter palette, which I do own. I have never been a colored highlighter person. I use colored highlighters as eye corner highlight and eyeshadows. I always prefer a champagne or silvery type of highlighter.

Thanks for that tip about the highlighters. I bought a purple one (Heat of the moment purchase) and it is so purple that Prince would have avoided it. It looks like purple tin foil on your face no matter how you try to put it on or how light. The thing that is bad about it is that I have a huge carton of it. I will try it in the corners of my eyes. I have other colored highlighters from OFRA, but I am kind of just over highlighting that bright anymore.

I'm glad this trend of people buying less makeup has started because I'm hoping we go back to how we used to be where we would hold makeup brands to a high standard and buy something actually new and unique to our collections for usability and also quality whereas I'd say since like 2014/15 people have just been buying new makeup just for the sake of it. Maybe this will make brands actually have to come up with interesting stories to be in the market. I'm hoping we go back to makeup the art, not just makeup the consumer item you know? I'm so glad you're bringing back fun makeup. I wear colored highlights a lot BUT I already have the colors I would use.. the ABH Moonchild Glow and Aurora Glow, and a couple Fenty fun colors but I wouldn't buy anymore just yet. I've been buying Jeffree Star's palettes BNIB from Mercari but I bought Pricked from him.. honestly I am not interested in this palette at all it seems like a cash grab in the meantime while trying to figure out something BIG to do. I really would love another monochromatic palette in the fancy packaging. Maybe Yellow or neon? That would be sickening 😜 Love you boo 😘

I don’t think as many people are into doing the heavy IG look anymore and don’t really watch tutorials over it. I used to always do colorful almost drag makeup when I was in college a few years ago, but I stopped because it made me look older. I still love makeup but I go for a softer look. I don’t use foundation because I feel like my skincare makes my skin look even, but I use concealer for my dark circles. I prefer a medium glow highlighter but back then I wore metallic and colored highlights. I wear color still but I mix it with neutrals to tone it done.

The mirrors look difficult to use like they're only for one hand or the other. I have a friend whose boyfriend is a butcher and they're a little into dark humor so she would love that necklace. I can see some eye looks with that palette, but not anything I can't already do with what I own. I find looks with the Conspiracy palette, too, though. I think the price of the Beauty Killer 2 is larger pans, if it's got the same size as the original Beauty Killer. It does seem uninspired. Maybe while makeup sales are down he saved money using the same shape pans and fewer colors as the Beauty Killer. Maybe he'll do yellow for summer. He's only got that one left for primary color themed palettes and so he needs to wait to release it when it will do the best. He can't do a rainbow palette without getting the James Charles comparisons.

I like the big blocky case packaging with the clasps, they reminded me of jewel boxes. this packaging looks cheap, color story does not inspire. I do love the cleaver mirrors and necklace! it fits perfectly with the theme "beauty killer." but I love his controversial mirror shapes. I've got the pink cross mirror that I hang upside down, and the black "weirdo" mirror he released with his throw back collection in the shape of baphomet =)

I want that necklace and mirror but then again I fall in the category of a thrasher type metalhead so I love obscured jewelry and don't need to be some butcher or whatever for the need to wear it lol!!! I also have worn earrings made from real razor blade's(I made these myself and have a way to make real razors to be worn safely) and worn necklaces as well made from razor blade's so a butcher knife necklace is defiantly right up my alley🔥🔪😍

I'm all about crazy color stories and I think J* has usually been successful in making weird combos cohesive. This palette makes no sense, I can think of a few neutral looks, some all over lid in one shade looks and some 2 shade combos but nothing I would get excited about. There's not enough variance in the darker shades but then there's 2 pops of color that kinda look ugly with the rest of the colors. Make it make sense. I took a break from buying from J* because I wanted to see if there's growth and now he just hasn't released anything I would've liked. Excited to see if he finally releases blushes in the future.

I'm a Jeffree Star STAN (my whole KZbin is basically a Jeffree Star Promo) and I honestly dont like this Collection. I legit have EVERY color from this collection in different Jeffree Palettes and and highlighters.. in my personal opinion I think he threw older shadow colors into a palette and said let's call it Beauty Killer 2! Idk I don't feel like Jeffree had his heart in this one... 🥺 Also, I'm still waiting for a YELLOW PALETTE AND COLLECTION!

So my thoughts on this collection is that I don’t find myself wanting to buy this collection. The palette has some nice colors that I’m drawn too but not sure they’ll look the best together. I can see that he tried to add a bit of bright, smoky and neutral colors all together so a person could in theory use it all the time. The thing is some of the colors look like they were made for other collections and he decided to put them all in one palette. I really am drawn to the purples, navy, gray, and green. I’d even use the other colors. Just don’t feel like I’d reach for it like I should because I’d always be struggling to create looks with them or would do the same looks over and over. I don’t want to carry more than one palette around to touch up. The highlight palette looks like Brain Freeze but for medium and dark skin tones, which is nice. However, I feel it’s a bit late for it to be released. Maybe if he brought back Brain Freeze and bundled it with this one I’d be more excited for it. I like the cleaver necklace as my rocker/emo/ grunge/ horror loving heart feels seen by this design. It feels like something I could find on Etsy though. I like that it’s different than what he’s released before. To me it’s the item I’m most drawn too. The mirror looks cool but I can’t see myself EVER using it. Personally, I adore a big mirror and find the star design too small. I think this cleaver has the same design where there isn’t enough space for the mirror. I agree with you where you said it would be great to hang on a wall as decoration.

While I feel like this pallet is a supplemental pallet yeah maybe you can’t get looks from the shades in it together I feel some of those shades are unique enough to see a need for someone to buy it like the neon yellow green color I like his formula so if it was pigmented and good I may use that cause honestly that color is hard to get right I have pallets with a similar shade but it doesn’t come out great idk I mean it’s a bit of a tired pallet it’s nothing crazy and inspiring not gonna lie but as a supplemental pallet for someone who doesn’t have those shades in another pallet I can see it being good it has shades that compliment shades in a lot of his other pallets I think it’s one of those pallets you can definitely do without
