Exactly!! They ALWAYS code the sales online..you can't even use your coupons bc you can only use one code on the transaction 😐😡

I bought 17 candles in store this morning but I am going to return most of them because I can’t get over the fact that several shoppers had stacks of coupons and I can’t even get one. I only have online codes, which can’t be used in store or online with another code.

I totally agree with you! It just surprises me that BBW doesn’t do free shipping after spending a certain amount of money. I try to avoid online shopping for that reason. I did shop in store but I only got 3.

The candles burn faster now, too, making it less worth it to buy them in general. I don't have a store near me. I've popped online when I can, but there's just not enough newness for me.

Now I feel you on the online shopping because I only ordered 2 online exclusives and my screen was doing the same thing and I didn’t get an email confirmation until 5 hours later but I checked my order history prior on app and the had it. You are so right about the $12.95 deal with coupon that’s how I got all the holiday candles I wanted before candle day that’s the reason why I don’t have to go “ham” on candle day. I got 3 for myself and 3 for gifts 🎁 and was out of there in 30 minutes. Gone are the days I have 15 plus candles 😂

I was very disappointed. I was on the site a hour before, made my cart & was ready to just checkout as soon as sale started. I noticed it kicked me out to a virtual line which I was in Que way before 6am & by 6:04, that tree candle was sold out. It makes me believe they purposely put a low stock. At this point, it was the only thing I wanted to order online so I went in store (got there within 10mins of opening). It was a decent crowd, not packed. It seemed like more associates on the floor stocking shelves than actual customers. I was able to grab 2 bow candles & honestly, that was very low too…I bought enough for a crate & that’s it. I kept checking site throughout the day & even got on the virtual line this morning hoping they restocked, they never did. I won’t be surprised if it’s made available when sale is over.

Thanks for sharing! I opened the app at 6 am ET and got to shop at 6:15. I only purchased 2 seasonal candles that I was kicking myself for not getting earlier. My order has already shipped. I had trouble checking out. So, I clicked back and forth from "shop" to "check out" and it finally loaded. About free shipping: Last candle day on a BBW social media post I made the mistake of commenting: I wish that free shipping was offered." And let me tell you people attacked me left and right. Saying "Why ask for free shipping for all of your heavy a** candles." It was brutal. Yeah, but Goose Creek will ship $100 orders and Kringle too. And those Kringle Candles are heeeeavy! Next year I'm going to plan better and get all of my candles during the other sales with coupons. I'm not doing candle day unless there is something new and I can get to the store.

I’m feeling the same way. Free shipping should have been available. I ordered online as well and 1 of my candles has already shipped same day. That was the only thing good 😂. I did sign in at 5:55am and waited 25 minutes to shop. PTL I loaded my cart the night before. Honestly, I thought it was going to be empty but it wasn’t. One candle that was on my list that sold out was the globe one. There really weren’t any new new candles. I used my $10 off of $40 on the $12.95 sale and it was candle day prices. Hats off to you 😊. You are a busy woman 🙂 and you like to run. That’s awesome. Thank for giving us a glimpse into your day. And your experience with candle day❤.

Hey lady. Working here seasonally as well and I’ll share my thoughts “after the season” too 😅😅😅 You’re absolutely right about the coupons & $12.95. I only purchased one and that was a limited bridgerton edition.

Once I got online and saw that there was a virtual line, the site was slow, there was no free shipping, and I couldn't use my $10 off a $40 purchase coupon because the sale was coded, I took my happy self to the store where I was able to shop hassle free. All in all, I am happy with my purchase, and I was able to stock up for the year.

@shante9700 NO, I didn't. I wanted one of the bow candles, but one of the store associates said that they weren't a part of the sale and was pulled from the floor for that reason. I'm not sure why when they were $9.95 online. Plus, my store sold out of Strawberry Snowflakes.

I intentionally didn't shop this sale. 9.95 is ok, but I'd rather just burn some candles I already have and shop at a later date when it's not so crazy out, use a coupon, and shop at ease. I also stopped buying just to be buying. I used to buy candles for gifts and for backups, but not anymore. A $10 gift card(for mainly teachers), is just as nice and no hassle involved.

I planned to get 8 (2 for my dad who takes forever to burn 1😂 and 6 for me... I picked up 4 of my 6, aint gonna lie ima grab core candles for my last 2...I got 2 black tie, 1 turquoise waters, and 1 merry mimosa...im thinking of getting my fave ocean driftwood and rose water and ivy...i have 2 from a previous sale to exchange also...its hard finding good stuff this time around

Thanks for sharing your experience. BBW shopping past experiences gives me anxiety and makes me not want to shop. I love BOPIS and I can't with in store shopping. I'm passing on Candle Day this year. I'll wait for semi annual, not a fan of all these package candles.

I think that Fresh Cinnamon Bun is the same as Pumpkin Cinnamon Bun and Sugar Cookie smells like Sugared Snickerdoodle. So they also try to fool people for Candle Day when nothing is really new. They seem to have all these same issues with online shopping for Candle Day every year. They are a billion dollar company. So I don’t know what their excuse is. They know when it’s coming.

I appreciate your transparency. I haven't shopped a candle day in about 4 years.I agree I don't think its worth the hassle going in store for candle day. I rather pay the $12.95 with a coupon at the sales t;hey have it seems at least once or twice a month. I've stood in the long line and I also carried the heavy bags with candles...too much lol. I would like to hear more about the seasonal experience because I've considered it in the past.

I skipped it all together. First time in many, many years that I wasn't at all excited about Candle Day. I was even out Christmas shopping this morning and drove right by the mall where our B&BW is without a pause. I'm sorry your online experience wasn't better. I gave up ordering anything online from B&BW a couple yrs ago. It always took forever and a day to get my items and then half the time they were broke or leaking.

I wasnt planning on shopping but it was my last day to pick up my BOPIS from being out of town 😅 i only purchased 3 candles when I went in to pick up my BOPIS orders. I purchased two bow candles and one sugar cookie. It definitely didnt live up to hype and my bank account is happy 😅
