Carter Gray won. Period. That finish line wasn't as dangerous as they made it to be
@yamahakid450f3 ай бұрын
While I agree he won regardless... it most definitely is that dangerous on a 65.. blind take off, deep rutted faces from big bikes, a tiny wheel base so the steep face robs speed compared to a big bike, and on the run in you have to get that single before it perfect so you have the drive and traction, and get each shift just right, including the shift at basically the bottom of the face when you're already committed, so if you miss it, you're still committed...and then seat bounce and stretch the absolute shit out of it to just barley get it. Yeah, it's gnarly.

Tomac is my man. Yes, it is going to be great when Degan gets up to the premier class & challenges Jet, but he isn't going to be able to ride a big bike like he does a 250. Putting a red cross flag at the start/finish line to prevent the kids from jumping needed to much brain power and coordination from the AMA brain trust and with the flag guy at the start/finish line to implement, much easier just to penalize the little kids after the event.. Eli was looking pretty good even with that paddlel tire, but Jet is unbelievable. That kid is one in a generation for sure. Not sure about Sexton. I think that helmet is sick, I'm having my razor wrapped this week, and it is being wrapped in a dazzle camouflage (the way they painted WWI ships to try and to confuse the German U-boat Captains from torpedoing them) the same colors as that helmet.

I’ve mentioned this in previous videos and you did touch on it today, the riders and teams have the power and here’s the issue of the riders and teams are not concerned with the placement of the tuff blocks and say something after track walk or practice nothing will change. So do we or mx sports feel if the riders and teams are not complaining everything must be ok and if someone gets hurt do we blame mx sports? maybe but if rides and teams did not ask for these changes whos at fault?? If gray was told not to jump he got what he deserved because if the ama did not follow through then we would be bitching about that. You buddy in rock springs got what he deserved he shouldn’t be Smokin dope and racing anyway that could get other riders hurt and he chose not to go to riders meeting, shows lack of respect to the rules and other riders.

Thank you for Carter grey comments!!! Those kids know what they can and cannot do. He only did it once. That was because he knew when and when not to go for it. If Eli actually wants it he has the skills and speed to do it. But he has to really want to step up. He has the mental strength to break Jett’s train of thought enough to become uncomfortable for a while. He won’t hold Jett off forever. So the argument is that there were 2-3 others doing it as well. Him being the only one is false. So that gave him an advantage over the other couple that were doing it too. I was there Friday for practice as well as Saturday for the races, etc. he was ripping either way. But yeah he's not the only one. But is the only one that didn't listen to that rule.

He didn’t win and he didn’t get screwed over. They were told not to jump the jump and he did. Case closed

Those cement barriers were knarley. Saw that right away. No concrete. Period. Many other options.

There were other kids in that race that could do that jump and they did not do it. Carter was clearly the fastest kid and deserved to win but, follow the rules.

Hey Cooksey love your show! I heard a show or two ago you may be thinking about moving to Thailand and just got me thinking about how your experience was there and what jumped out to you to make you consider moving? I know is off topic but leaving the U.S. is something I’ve been considering as well.

Did no one catch the one rider almost going head first into the cement barrier between Rhythm sections?

I think Eli has more in the tank. He will keep improving as the series goes on.

I was there and Carter grey would have won the race either way plus there was another kid that jumped the finish line jump at the end of the race did they penalize that kid also if not then give Carter his win back the boy rode like a boss I watched it in person

FELD (spelling?) does next to nothing to protect the riders. In that no protection along the cement walls, no protection from concrete floors off the main track in Supercross, no protection from the asphalt floor off the main track in this race.

I'd love to see tomac win smx, but jett has something that eli doesn't and that's the ability the hit that "fuck it" button on a wimb that only comes with youth and having no babies at home. The pass by jett in the second moto was purely jett hanging it out there. I'm putting my money on jett.

And I still don’t think we’ve seen Jett’s full potential. 👍

Should put wrestling matts on the side of the track. They can get them in brown.
