Hi Mitch, What an amazing video.. ! to be honest I was a little disappointed initially when I just saw the one video of Bolivia downhill and was wondering why is there no video on Death Road?.. and i guess it was worth the wait. The accident bit was very scary and must have been really disturbing to witness it. Sending you lots of good wishes and positivity. Kudos to you and the entire group for a monstrous effort! Brilliant video. Climbing the Alps at 4000m at top of Barre des Ecrins was my limit physically and mentally very overwhelming. My very fit friend suffered at 3200m getting delirious and needing help. Altitude is tough and very unpredictable. Well done!

If the truck driver was wearing the seatbelt, probably nothing would have happened to him. Don't feel bad about that, you were just a person sharing the same road. What you can do is to remind people how important it is to always wear the seatbelt, maybe you'll save a life one day.

I did a three day trek in Las Yungas jungle area here with a guide on the old Inca trail and only saw a handful of native people the whole trip. We returned to LA Paz on the Death Road in a combi van. I fell asleep on the ride and woke up to a waterfall going over the van and down the vertical hillside about six inches away. Wild place.

5:26 with a bit of research the most matching butterfly to that I could find was "Chalypyge zereda". Blue to teal in colour on top and yellow from below like the one flying next to you. I may be wrong but I always get hung up on details like that :D

It’s the Orcucase B2 you have to disassemble most of the bike, but the bag is so small it makes the travel part very easy
