Fun fact about ethanol! IRL it also burns very cold. It doesn’t produce the same amount of heat as other fuels, and very rarely overheats engines. I have a car that I converted to run off ethanol, and it doesn’t even need a radiator most of the time lol

​@@messinabout4570it also tends to burn much leaner, and is much more stable, so while your cyllinder pressure is lower compared to gasoline, you can handle much higher RPM and compression ratios than unleaded gas. Most gasoline nowadays uses aromatics like Benzene and other additives to keep the fuel from combusting too early, but we used to use tetraethyl lead in automotive gas until 1985. Aviation gas is the only gasoline that uses lead still, and is expected to be replaced with Swift85 formulated avgas in the next several years.

I came up with an idea how to get the pipe to bedrock without digging and placing yourself. You make either an extendable piston or rope pully, and attach a drill to the bottom. After drilling down to bedrock, you bring the drill back up, and replace it with a bunch of pipes on top of eachother. After that you drop the pipes in, and you got the connection to bedrock!

This mod also interacts with Create Crafts and Additions, and you can use fuels to power your blaze burners. What's even cooler is that the "refined" fuels (diesel, gasoline, biofuel, and biodiesel) superheat the blazes!

Ok so it seems like the early option and the most renewable and probably best long term option is plant oil, produces the same stress as biodiesel and gasoline but being produces a slower rpm which isn't a problem as I assume by the time you get a generator you can probably afford a rotation speed controller. Plant oil is also the easiest to automate as well as the best in terms of renewability.

In fact, ethanol produces more power than gasoline, because it has a higher octane rating, but the engine has to be prepared to use ethanol and extract all the power, generally requiring greater compression.

What you said about ethanol blending isn't really true. Sure, it decreases mileage a tiny bit but it serves a good purpose. It increases the octane rating of the fuel and without getting too technical it pretty much means your engine will combust more reliably. This is why performance engines often go for E85 which can reliably make alot more horsepower at the cost of mileage. Increasing the octane rating of pure gasoline is harder than just mixing in a bit of ethanol. Gasoline with ethanol also burns cleaner and part of the fuel is renewable. Otherwise thank you for showing me this mod 👍

Honestly, would love it if the mod had support for ore dictionary lead for an extra step of refinement combining ethanol with lead in a basin, and making much higher RPM output and slightly higher horsepower leaded gas, but making an AOE poison debuff when running it.

One thing that’s worth noting is some of the fuels can be fed to blazes. I haven’t played the most recent update of the mod, but I believe biodiesel at the very least will superheat the blazes.

Loved the video @KwizzleHazizzle! Can't wait for the next video man! Ethanol is worse for your Cars and Engines in General! My dad and I found this out several years ago when we were putting the Engine to his Lawnmower Back Together, we found out that several Hose Connections between the Engine, the Radiator and the Carburetor had been Worn away and the Hose itself wasn't any good either. It turns out that Ethanol Eats away at the Interior of the Engine slowly rendering your Car, Truck, SUV, or even a Lawnmower completely Useless and thus Forcing you to buy a New one. There is a Way to actually Separate the Ethanol from the Gas by Pouring in some Water. After a While the Ethanol will float to the Top while the Heavier Gasoline will sink to the Bottom. Shalz calls this Update to Create: Diesel Generators "The American Update" because of the Stereotype that we always get into Wars over Oil. I for one would love to see People Build Transport and Warships with these Engines!

Thanks, glad you like it! Ethanol is worse for engines, or at least older ones. It doesn't really make sense to use ethanol for fuel in North America but its a result of the corn industry lobbies.

Most likely, you can use oil from other mods (like thermal) to power the generators in create, so any Forge/Fabric oil or fuel can be used, im not completely sure but most likely they will work!

@@KwizzleHazzizle Have you tried Embeddium or Xenon? They are the more up-to-date Sodium ports for Forge 1.20.1 (Embeddium is also available for older versions actually). I don't know if Rubidium is still being developed or not, but it's not updated as often as those.
