As a somewhat experienced datapack developer, i can't even imagine how long this map took to make. Even the custom resource pack is quite crazy, everything takes way longer to make than you realize. This is what i love to see. I feel like datapacks are often overlooked as a feature, and i love when people actually dedicate the time to prove how powerful they can be. I really hope the datapack community grows in the future and we regularly see things like this.

So what was the tree after all? Anyone able to shed some light on it? I may have missed some lore because I skipped a lot of the puzzle solving, and I also saw a note that CaptainSparklez didn't read in the end area. (For readers: Spoiler warning applies to the answers to my comment)
@pde844410 ай бұрын
Me too! Plz lmk if u find out

Yeah I am confused as well. They get the supplies secretly from the front company and the supplies are axes. The tree is sacred and somehow time because if you attack the tree time runs backwards and then at the end the redacted character is encouraged to cut down the tree causing somehow the singularity. I guess implicitly the time running backwards is what allows things to be undone and reset. I am just confused why the secret group would go from protecting the time tree and cutting it's branches for time manipulation reasons to then cutting down the whole tree. They seem to only be motivated by this smart redacted person doing digging into the front company. So why suddenly tear down the time tree? Surely he should end up also wanting to protect the tree?

i wonder if there has ever been a study on streamers where the study people went "alright, we are gonna test these streamers vs none streamers, who can figure out these puzzles first" and i wonder who won. id like to think the none streamers won because with Streamers, they tend to just ignore tutorial pops quite often or not pay attention to them lol
@Lusanagi1711 ай бұрын
It definitely depends on the streamer, the problem is that the streamers with the personas/personalities most suited to streaming are also suited to overlook the important details. There's also the aspect of livestreaming itself. Even with minimal interaction, hundreds of people watching you do stuff definitely means you're never at 100% attention on the game. Jordan obviously wants to talk a lot while doing puzzles so chat/viewers are not bored. Combination of these makes a lot of streamers likely to miss cues no matter how apparent they are. Jordan is probably middle of the pack as far as personality goes and his attention is diverted a lot. That is to say you're right, but if they weren't streaming the results would be pretty similar.
