You really seem to struggle with Mindfire and underestimate how much damage he can do. With Vulnerable he's doing 3 damage each attack, with Focus and Vulnerable he can do 6 damage to a single target each turn. During the mission "Which Way the Wind Blows, If you vulnerable a Brawler, attack twice, and have an ally finish the Brawler off you could charge 3 of his ult pips in a single turn and have taken out a dangerous target. He can also take out Thugs entirely on his own. Allies also do extra damage to Vulnderable targets! Shield shard could be great for Mindfire because he can focus almost entirely on damage without having to worry about movement. You really get the teleporter, you took out an entire group with her! This is a great game, looking forward to playing it myself. It's what I wished an X-Men game could be.

Personally I think you could use teamwork more to get a slight boost in damage, and utilize vulnerable with back stab more. Also you could do shield shard on an ally to have them lock down one enemy instead of having faucet tank everything, and you get the idea of using growth to block enemies or locking down another enemy.
@RyanEX20005 ай бұрын
Bit of a tip. You can avoid all the running around by quickly moving into the corner to your bottom left. Use Growth every turn to funnel the enemies into the path you want while using Focus to repeatedly hit them with Mindfire and Rebound. Mindfire's an absolute beast if you abuse his teamup with Rebound to get into position which'll allow him to use Focus every turn for big damage. At the end I never got to use Facet's ult since he hardly took damage (a low hp enemy got in front of him and blocked any of the big guys. So I just left him there) and used Rebound's twice. Hope this isn't a case of the game giving you your most useful heroes at the start so you feel no inclination to use the others later on.

I think you really need to utilise Mindfire’s vulnerability more. 50% is big in a game with small numbers. You could easily be taking people out much quicker and with less actions. You could use focus and put vulnerable on multiple people, like the brutes to take them out much quicker.

Over halfwayinto the video and you are criminally underusing Mindfire - his core strength is to take 3 actions: vulnerable then two attacks, with one of them buffed by being near Facet. And since vulnerable affects teammate damage too, you should always delay the other teammates to have Mindfire go first.

About 23 mins in when writing this. Hopefully, maybe on the 3rd attempt, you realize that you must kill 2-3 enemies per round minimum. Also, that focusing the counter guys with your ranged character is a must top priority. Any actions not spent on directly removing an enemy from the field is probably a wasted one.

Seems like the tactical combat is quite interesting, with lots of options to juggle, especially with the team abilities. The rest of it's a bit cringe and cliche, though I suppose it's comic-booky enough and endurable for the sake of the tactical game (and sometimes some of the character comments and bits of the dialogue can be quite amusing).
