This Mod Completely Changes BTD6 / Bloons TD 6 - BTD6 Rogue is a modded game mode made by ‪@menddev‬ that turns the game into a roguelike, starting you off with a small towerset that slowly expands as you survive the randomized rounds & bosses! Here's my first go at it.

ISAB, the tier 2s count for all tiers. It's only tiers 3 and up that lock certain paths

Hey wanna clear a few things up about the mod. There is NOT hero XP split although it looked like there is im not sure if that was a bug but there is not hero XP split. Freeplay also doesn't work yet but will soon (as well as artifacts). I'm one of the "beta testers" so thats how i got this info (i'm also in his streams often). also yeah fbads are a pain. anyway, good video 👍

i feel like in the spirit of roguelikes if you die, you should always restart.

Small thing to note, the 200, 020, and 002 paths for the first few doesnt mean you cant get 2-2-2 upgrades on those towers. It just means that whatever path you picked will never go above tier 2, as that path wont show up again. You're unlocking the path up to that point, essentially but all of your monkeys can be upgraded to those unlocked paths. you're just essentially locking a path to tier 2 the first few times.

this mod looks so cool. having to react to random rounds with towers you pick is a great idea. hell, the random rounds in general feels like it should be its own mod. i think the tower selection method could be more polished, though- getting only tier 2s from the start feels pretty bad. a roguelike customizable modifier difficulty system would be great too (if you’ve played inscryption’s kaycee’s mod, or hades’ heat, something like that). make bosses spawning a modifier.

How did you get 1/3200? For each set of 5, the probability that all 5 bosses are a specific boss is (1/5)^5, but there were 6 bosses, which means there are 2 chances. But, there are 5 different bosses that could've been in a row, meaning its 5x as likely. So it's actually 5 * 2 * (1/5)^5 Which equals .0032, which is 32/10000 or 4/1250

the messages are for bosses the boss rounds are 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 and 120 i think? (may be different for higher difficulties?) the boss options are bloonarius, dreadbloon, lych, vortex and phayze (at 20% or 1/5 chance each) that would be 1/5^6 to get all 6 bosses the same type (1/15625)

I don't think you're supposed to not be allowed to crosspath like 220 farms, from what I understand is that once you select one of the 3 options the other ones will never appear again, thus you can't unlock engi through getting a 002. More impactful once you get to tier 3+ since it'll lock out that path from appearing.

if this were a real game mode, there’d probably be things to buy out of active game that make some things easier, like other Rougelikes some ideas I had were: the boss hints (that are already in the mod) increase the amount of towers you get at the start increase the amount of options you get per selection free continues Monkey Knowledge (and some enhancements to certain ones, like a 50 hp mana shield upgrade) and the currency you get to unlock them is what you get for playing the roguelike mode, just like other rougelikes

The path selection bonuses are worded a bit strangely. It looks like it says “this upgrade path will be unavailable” when really it means “the other options will not show up again” when it gives you the towers. Also I feel like the displayed upgrade path should be forced. Crosspathing is allowed but the one path would be locked in.

the chance of getting 5 lyches would be 1/3125, which you did cos on round 20 another lych spawned, so you got one on round 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 (so 5 lych each 1/5, so 5^5 = 1/3125 or 0,032%)
