Aekold as a LL with his own faction is really cool and I love what the mod team has done, especially by allowing him to utilize the Books of Nagash for the Changing of the Ways.

I guess depends on your point of view, back in the day when I used to play tabletop you couldn't use him to lead an army and was just a hero character, so to me it makes sense for him to be a hero in game. I think he does lead an army in the End Times stuff though? So I guess if you are younger or just newer to Warhammer you would expect him to be a lord

@@vargknight you're right about the tabletop, but my reasoning for this is that Snikch, Isabella and Nakai also aren't supposed to lead armies, and yet we have an option to do so here. Since they've already bent the rules on this and Tzeentch is in need of more lords Aekold would have been a solid third Lord option (until Egrimm van Horstman comes).

​@@hyena3028 That doesnt make sense: "until engrim comes" So you want CA to change him into a lord but only temporarily until they bring a real tzeench guy to the game. He has already certain role not a place holder. Its been a while since I playd with modded factions but I think mixu LL's got you on this for now.

@@vargknight I share his sentiment. When Warhammer Total War 3 released I assumed the Chaos lord roster would be as varied as the Lizardmen. I'm not a big fan of the legendary hero concept, as it reduces the number of lord options each faction can take. As a Khorne fan I was expecting to see Karanak and Skarr Bloodwraith as Legendary Lords.

​​@@ShadowPhoenixMaximus While I do agree on the fact that it's limiting the legend lord choices, most legendary heroes are heroes because they aren't unique enough to have an entire campaign focused around them. They would have to share already used mechanics with other lords and their factions which would make their factions less unique and more boring and uninteresting. Aekold I could see him as a lord because of the cult system (but the changeling already has that) and karanak I guess because he hunts mages and stuff, everyone else though... They wouldn't bring anything interesting

I love Aekold, was hoping someone would mod him as a LL. I just wanted him to be playable at all, but seeing him with the books mechanic and new Changing of the Ways has me really excited to try him out

They really need to make it easier to lose with the changeling, and easier to win with Kayros. Then you can have 2 more campaigns to play as tzeentch.

CA absolutely HAS to rework Tzeench. It's one of those races that IMO is in a WORSE state than many others. -only got Fire and Metal lore of magic , instead of all of them. -Changing of the Ways is not that impactful, other characters play dirty tricks BETTER than Tzeench's factions do -Changeling is fun for like one play through, then you never touch it again because it's impossible to lose, and even there you don't feel like a trickster

I'd hard disagree. They have access to 3 strong lore's whilst the others ON TT and to an extent, lore, the followers and daemons don't use. Plus in actual gameplay, you never really have a problem casting. Changing of the ways is fun and always has something helpful, along with cults and corruption IMO there's a strong setting for Tzeentch. Nurgle is in a worse state Chaos-wise and a lot of the factions are worse (Imo HE's cause everything they had was stripped from them and are boring, Norsca is Norsca, Bretonnia, Lizardmen ect...) Trickster - yes okay I do agree that there's nothing... to do? If that makes sense? The theme battles look fun but there isn't entirely anything... tricksy about them?

They did say they were coming back to shadows of change again, so hopefully tzeench can get like a new caster hero of like heavens magic or whatever and some touched up mechanics

They should make changling the most OP in the entire game. You cant loose anyway and AI is afk so why not? We need the consequancess to be impactfull and permament. So e.g empirie cant peace out their civil war, Ulthuan are in flood of invading armies instead of 3 that die in 1-2 turns etc. This is a factions to mess up with the world troll everyone and burn it with others hands. Their should add even more creazy chaotic mechanics and consequances of his schames. Maybe even make dyplomatic penatlies aply to faction who he transform into. That would be fun. To the rest, kairos is really not fun to play. As an AI he always become powerhause but player struggle. He doesnt have unqiue mechanic as many other lords in the game. Maybe he should get the chaos realm spells at least some part of it like gelt. (who is better sorcerer then demonic chicken himself) Or some new spells unqiue to him. I really would love more spells in that game because in most cases you always use the same basic lores so only if lore allows yes please.
