Looks great I bet you can use those also for n scale 👍👍

Maybe you could make a mini series where you make a model railroad with these kits?

Very cool. Just starting to work on a couple of modules for a club I want to join. This is a great idea, and cold maybe also support some hills or other backdrop materials. I'll do mine and hit them up and see if it's something that might fly.

@@richardshepard9392 Thank you sir, for what you’re doing for the hobby! A helix would be an incredibly positive addition for N scale!!

How timely Jimmy. We just got together for our train club yesterday. I’m on a committee and we are going to present to the board or ideas for movable layouts. We were discussing ttrack design, so any club member can add his personal touch to the club…. We have an annual train show in December and we are planning ahead. Thanks for your input!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🚂🚂🚂🚂

This looks clever. I am too far advanced to change but this looks like a magic idea for people with limited space.

As an HO scale modeler, I have always been curious about the T-Trak standard and its applications for HO scale. This style of kit, as it is, would be perfect for HO scale shelf layouts - 1' depth is something you see pretty commonly on some of the smaller HO shelf layouts, and this would be a great starting point even if you ended up extended it to a 18" depth where needed for industry.

Jimmy! You know what I was JUST thinking about a couple weeks ago? You never see tunnels in T-Trak modules. Like for train shows? You obviously want to be able to clean the track and GET your train out if something happens. It's also kind of strange to make a module, just to cover it with a mountain. Then you've only got the entrance and exit. You'd obviously want to make access to get to the track. What side do you put the access on? The back side? A door that opens? But what about the FRONT SIDE, so that when the kids come up to look at the train, they see the tunnel opening, they see the mountain on the outside, but the tunnel is cut open on the side like a cross section?! Then you can put stuff like dinosaur bones in the cross section part of it too. Maybe make it about 10" tall, above the track. Just a thought, and I'm not totally sure how you'd do it, or keep it in good condition if you're transporting to and from shows.

if you have a few of these o put together you'd probably want to get a frame clamp to hold it exactly square.

What was the shelf you had in the background that looked like you were also gluing it together (saw the blue tape in the corner)

Can you stack 3? I suddenly want to build an O scale, HO scale, and N scale switching layout using those one on top of the other...lol

Yes they can be but if the front get to heavy I'd recommend adding a strap on the back.

Yes can be used for HO. I'm working on inside and out side corners now as I get the time.

This is a clever idea. However, for an 8 ft shelf layout $240 seems expensive for just the bench work. On an arround the walls layout it will be a significant cost for bench work alone. {And there are no corner modules currently available.) IMHO such a concept primarily seems reasonable for someone living in an apartment.
