They could’ve zoomed this discussion. Tamron could’ve asked: why mom didn’t go to prom, has mom gotten the opportunity to get glam and go out, is college paid for, does the daughter have a car, savings account, how are her grades…. Disclosing prices on social media brought the public into the conversation.

Tamron started off by saying , this is a judge free zone. Therefore, she wasn't going to ask that. The one thing I love about Tamron is she seems to keep her word. She will probably never have any guest walked off the set upset by a discussion they decided on before filming.

Why should Tamron ask these racist questions? Would you suggest these questions had the mom been white? Many times people waddle into conversations and insert themselves into it. Clearly they can handle it financially and Tamron asked that question. Assuming that basic things like a car and a college fund are likely not taken care off is just you looking at it from whatever low expectations you have of these people. And don’t for one second think I assumed you are white. I didn’t.

$16,000 is absolutely 💯 ridiculous 🙄 & absurd. It's completely insane. What a terrible example. But it's her money 💰. College is coming. Part of the problem of issue with some of our children is that as parents we do things and raise our children based on what we had, or didn't have and sometimes that's not a good thing. We end up hurting more then helping and sometimes send the wrong message.

How is that a terrible example to her daughter? Example of what? Are you suggesting she teach her daughter than if she has money she shouldn't buy nice things for her own daughter in the future. Sounds more like most of the people posting are salty and bitter people who are envious of that mother because she has money. And NO, I wouldn't spend that much on prom either. But the reasons people are giving suggest THEY are jealous more than anything. And that's sad.

We had a small prom getaway party for my granddaughter. Probably spent a couple hundred on decorations and food for a few guests. It was fun and we created some great memories, but we kept it within reason and didn’t go overboard.

There is nothing wrong with parents wanting to do something nice and memorable for their children…. The prom also comes with graduation. If a parent can afford to do great things for their children, it’s okay. May God Bless this mother and her daughter…… I think people are expecting the worst for this young lady because of how her mother choose to treat her….. all eyes are on this young Princess, and she has an opportunity to continue to lift up her head and the head of her family…. It’s okay to have money and class… and they have both 🙏🏽 I pray greatness for this beautiful family.

A doctor gave his daughter 10$k for a house down payment as her wedding gift he said he wasn’t paying for a wedding!! These ppl just run out !! I would be ashamed to admit I spent 10k on a prom rich or not she’s a brat 😅

The crazy thing is the comment section. The people that are saying "it's irresponsible" or etc etc, no one knows how deep this woman's pockets are and what she does. No one talks about how the rich spends money but I guess since this woman isn't a celeb it doesn't count. Her money and who knows if this woman set money aside for her daughter over the years of her life! I just hope baby girl goes of to school and make her mom proud or because a self made woman!

What does it mean when they say that they could afford it? Does it mean that the mom just had enough money in her account to cover the cost or does it mean that they are well off?
@fayettenampeach

I would hope they're well off. Just because we may have the money to pay for it doesn't always mean we can afford it. That's something I hold on to to keep from impulsively spending.

Most parents want their kids to have better than they did, so that’s understandable. I just believe you can do it but within reason. The $4000 shoes and the $4000 car rental for one day, that’s just unbelievable to me. I wish Tamron would have delved more into the moms reasoning behind doing all this.

I need a prom do over 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I had to make my dress, I went with a cousin because I was new to that school and we drove my God dad’s Chevy. The shoes were JC Penney-probably $25 😆 But the most important part of that time is that my mom was still alive. I would have stayed home to be with her. But was talked into going to the prom. My family and I still talk about that event. 😄 Sadly an added memory is that I didn’t realize I wouldn’t have my mom much longer 😪
