I had one of these and can honestly say that it was one of the best bikes I've had over 40 years. Comfortable, reliable and amazing range. I did a 3000 mile trip from Shetland to Somerset and back fully loaded with camping gear and accessories. I stayed off motorways so had no problem with keeping up with traffic. I would seriously consider getting another especially the 350, just wish they did a 750!. The tyres are a a good both on and off road, ex e.lent cornering grip. My exhaust did get a lot louder and deeper over time. Limited to 75mph but cruised at 65 quite happily but hills do slow it down a bit which was the reason I traded it in for a larger bike. If I HD the money to buy this particular bike today it would be mine by the end of the day!

I bought mine 4 months ago. The suspension is pretty hard, the keyless feature is nothing but a pain in the butt. In addition, this model has a 10Ah battery which has to have a certain flat and elongated shape, which makes the battery rare and expensive (150 GBP). The bike is well made, but sloooow. Speeds of more than 65 are almost impossible with this one. Sixth gear is almost pointless. Engine and transmission work like a charm and it's nice to drive, that's for sure.

On the web at £2999, which is a bargain. They're really quality bikes from what I've seen of them. If I had a spare 3k lying around I'd be down there like a shot! 😄

That's the bike I should have got 😮😢 😂 though I didn't know that's what all the extra abbreviations were for at the time. I'm not bothered about the noise an exhaust makes to be honest, the least annoying for everyone else the better in my opinion, but, each to their own. I also think, more tech, more to go wrong 😂 Good looking bike though 👍🏻

I do agree. The more you have the more that can go wrong, but I like that it all comes with the bike. Unlike other brands that would charge you hundreds more.

I look at there for the Mrs. Ended up with a Svartpilen125 for not too much more. I figured it would have better resale.

It’s something you always have to consider. How has the Svartpilen been? I’ve heard about loads of issues with the bigger ones.

First impressions to me ,is the bike looks too cluttered , with that extra bitza mudguard hanging off the swing arm . Honda tried a disc protector many moons ago & it wasn’t popular with the punters or shop mechanics . Never could see any need or benefit to a keyless system . Also noticed what seems to be a common trait on Zontes ,the outer sheathing on the wiring is too short ,exposing the inner fragile wiring in a couple of places ,where it enters the switchgear . Other wise the bike appears to be well put together & have a decent engine , gear change & handling & worth considering if you don’t mind the keyless gubbins & it’s a good budget price new ,used or pre registered low miles demo bike . 👍

Yes I’ve never got my head around the keyless thing either. If you have to have it in your pocket and still need it with you then why not just have a key. This bike does seem to have every extra that they have. The others I’ve seen don’t have all the extra bits. I suppose they would be easy to remove if you didn’t like them. What I do like is that they come with this bike as standard and not something extra you have to pay for. Other brands should take note of that.

@@GillyBikes I would sooner have more quality on the usual standard parts ,than a plethora of extras or gimmicks on a budget priced point bike . Of course it’s always nice to have one or two useful extras such as a good rear carrier ,windshield ,centre stand & maybe a power point for charging stuff. I just tend to get suspicious when it’s over the top especially when it’s getting near the budget end of the market.

@@GillyBikes I believe the finish is good . There is a bloke on another channel who has bought a larger capacity Zontes ,he is testing it out long term . He found the ECU just jammed loose under frame cross member & a the earth lead just zip tied on . There was no provision to fix the unit firmly & properly , he was not impressed by that & a couple of lesser nit pics ,but did also have other good things to say about the bike . I would like to see some more models of these Zontes & other budget bikes long tested . A lot of these bikes get loaned out for You Tubers to test ride & review them , but you never usually see them actually owning one themselves for a proper long term . When it comes to choosing their own machines ,they tend to be the well known established brands & high end stuff like BMW .

@maskedavenger2578 I’m not fortunate enough to get anything long term. My channel is to small 😭. But because I jump on loads of different bikes I do notice good / bad ones. I myself bought a Voge 300 rally. A very new brand to the uk. But similar to Zontes they seem to throw loads of extras in with the bike. I’ve had that for a year now and still love it.
