Lockdowns, trash talking in search, and playing till 3am with my best friends. MW2019 was a masterpiece of a game. Wish I could relive those days and take part in those dumb conversations we would have. As dumb as it may sound saying this about a video game, some of my best memories were made playing CoD MW2019.

It's crazy to think I played this game so much I couldn't wait to be off of it and onto MWII. Fast forward to the current day in 2024, and I wish I could go back. COD hasn't been the same since. The art direction, tone, and attention to detail, and more hasn't been the same since. Playing this game all day with friends during the 2020 lockdown was great. I'd wake up, attend a zoom class or two as my college had transitioned to online learning, and then I'd hop on MW19 for the rest of the day. Simpler times.

I hadnt played CoD in years until MW2019. Got back into it hardcore, only to be disappointed at how the next couple titles lost that feel and further distanced themselves from the community's feedback. I enjoy watching Handler, Slayed and all the boys for the fun content. But still miss the MW 2019 days and pray they recreate this feel in future COD titles.

The tactical sprint was so immersive and fast in this game. Love the camera wobble left and right when sprinting with a melee weapon. And the gun designs and sounds are just mmmmmuahhhh!!!!

to answer ur question at the beginning of the video, its the theme. you can have many versions of the same map for example, but one of them strikes as the best overall theme of how u imagine the map should be. you are being reminded of the original rust map them for how its rusty, and dusty, in the hue of orange and brown with yellow mixed in. gives the overall military setting for sure. rust doesnt look the same when u make it look beautiful and clear, unless you just want a color palette thrown at your face.

MW19 was a refresh to the series that the dev's were allowed freedom on, with warzone dropping, we saw the shift from proper lighting, particles and shadows to more bright and plasticy surfaces because warzone got so big and became the main money maker when people complained about the lighting from mw19 it was changed entirely. This was due to big names saying the game allowed people to hide and camp in shadows etc because of the engines system. In MW2 you can sorta see this across the warzone maps that are in multiplayer, as in the ones for regular multiplayer that are just stripped outta the warzone map. In MW3 you can see the drastic change across the whole game. Its really a shame cause MW19 seemed to do almost everything right, whereas corporate greed ruined it for the titles to come, and continues to do so. Also, sidenote, man i forgot how good these maps are compared to what we have now.

Same and I’m not gonna lie MW2019 kinda blew handler up. This game is by far the best COD next to the older games. But IMO this is the most customizable COD experience and it had the best features of any other game since. It’s also guilty of being too successful because of the fact that they added in the bundles. Because this game was so good EVERYONE and their mothers were buying those things. They made Billions. Then they realized they could just make those bundles and people will just throw money at them. Pay to win garbage tbh.

2019, BO2, WaW. Top 3 CODs all time. Not changing my mind. This game is truly a damn masterpiece. This was technically a modern remaster of COD 4 which is arguably in the top 3. This is a beautiful take on the first modern warfare and it was simply executed incredibly well. I’ll never forget this game or the nostalgia that some of these COD 4 maps brought me. 2019 was a golden era for COD and now it’s gone forever. Too bad the franchise is now in the shitter.

This game looks good because of the lighting ENB. That lighting ALSO made the shadows WAY TO dark for an arcade shooter. That's why the Roze skin was so broken for so long.
