Oh yeah. I so need to reset my closet and my side of the bed so bad. But with my 4 day straight 8-10 hours a day, drains my energy; plus I have severe chronic back/spine pain. So I usually use my 3 days off to recover and ready to go back to work again. It's a vicious cycle of my life. Every once in a while, I do get a spurts of energy and do get some of my to do list done or get started anyway. You two are so encouraging/supporting to each other; that's totally an awesome friendship ❤ Way to go you two, Luke and Zara!

Your house looks so nice and organized now. I am doing a huge downsize and organizing. I’m going to do it a room at a time, like you did so my anxiety doesn’t kick in from trying to do too much at one time. Maggie looked so peaceful all wrapped up and resting on the couch. Zara always looks pretty, with or without makeup. It's good to give skin a break from time to time and have a naked face. I think it makes people look authentic, more real and close. I just got motivated to clean and declutter a few drawers in my bedroom.

Getting a dehumidifier is a great idea I have a small flat and it’s been great. I don’t get the condensation in my front window like I used to. Because my flat is small, this time of year I seem to permanently have a clothes airer with washing on out and my dehumidifier has a laundry setting which helps the washing to dry much quicker and you will be amazed at how much water is in the container especially when you realise all that water would have been in the air causing damp and mould. I would say definitely get one 👍

Rehoming items you no longer use is a wonderful idea. I'm older and am just giving away items that are not using. I believe that things are meant to be used as well as enjoyed. It gives me great joy knowing younger people are using what I pass on.

I’m currently on a massive decluttering mission, I’ve always been pretty good at it but now my mum has given me permission to tackle the whole house. She’s lived here for over 35 years and although we’ve kept pretty much on top of it, we’re really trying to minimise the amount of things we own 🙌🏻. Two things I would really recommend is the Discovery of Less book by Chris Lovett - amazing really inspires you for other areas that can be minimised. Also Olio, it’s a waste prevention app so instead of taking that paint to the tip you could have put it on there and someone would collect and use it for an area in their home. Even if it’s not much it could be used for a little cupboard or one wall. I’ve got rid of loads on there since October, I still take stuff to charity shops but it’s really good for things that charity shops won’t take. Highly recommend 😊

Luke buy Dettol mould and mildew remover from Amazon,we suffer terrible with mould in Cornwall and this is very effective, spray it on, my hubby leaves it for a few minutes and wipe it off, the mould disappears for weeks sometimes for good,it really stinks so have the windows open and ventilate after you have finished wear a mask ,it's good stuff ,good blog Cheers ☺ x

Zara, I wish I looked that good without makeup, I don't even look good with it lol. Luke you are such a good flat mate. I have a 9ft x 8ft bedroom I have an ikea wardrobe, it's very tall and took 3 men to bring it upstairs. I decluttered that 2 days ago, I'm only 5ft 6 and a half so had to stand on a step stool lol. I had to alter the shelves which was a nightmare, the next day I was in so much pain in my legs, I'm fine today. Xx

Hi Luke - you do know best before is not use by and pasta and dried foods last well past their dates? People need to learn that dates are not the be all and end all. I am trying to not spend anything on food in January so am using as much as I can that I have already - even if it is "out of date". My nose and eyes will tell me if it is ok.

Great video. I have often wondered if you trained Maggie yourself or had a trainer. I know the videos can’t be long enough to show everything but it always amazes me how well trained Maggie is. Are you considering a second dog? I know your place would be small for two dogs. Maggie seems to be so social I thing she would enjoy a sibling. I was a little disappointed that you didn’t show more of the actual decluttering. Especially Zara’s closets. She is aways dressed so great I would have loved to see her clothes! I do enjoy the way you interact with each other and always consider the others opinion. The American anthem is The Star Spangled Banner. After your statements about this movie I’m going to try to see it. Does your landlord give you any assistance with the bathroom problem. I would think he would be responsible for fixing the problem.
