@@fillslawncare your one of the rare guys that takes care of themselves! I see dust just blowing on there face & in there lungs! It will come back & bite you in the ass! I was a painter & didn’t always wear a mask 😷 & used some pretty strong paints that just burned my lungs & dry wall dust that I inhaled & now I have cancer due to the environment I was told! So I can’t stress enough COVER up! Even had to get a full knee replacement at 49 from not wearing knee pads! When we feel healthy & young you don’t think these type of things will happen to you until it does! Never was able to go back to the work I loved! @resdog8512 жыл бұрын
90% of these videos, "My lawn mower stopped working". I know a ton of them are elderly and can't mow or afford to pay someone to do it, but a bunch of these people probably do fall into another category such as lazy. Two vehicles in the drive. They can afford even a decent used mower to do this. Years ago, I used to have a neighbor who would let her grass get like this all the time. She would go out and knock it down with an off brand riding mower. It would end up looking worse when she was done than when it was a foot tall. She would do that about every month or two, never bothering to trim around the trees so that grass was jungle-like. She was a great neighbor.

I truly hope those people had a good reason for you to not charge them. After I saw the edging part and you uncovering cement, I would have given up. You truly are a great person. The back yard, now that was another story. You should have rented a tractor for that and given the grass clipping to some farmer. He'd have been able to feed his farm animals for a week. What a job. Great job on your part. Hope you rested a lot after that one.
@rokoa52693 жыл бұрын
Acctually for animals the best way to cut food for animals is with the scythe. A farmer told me that because the animals can tell the difference in fresh cut grass.
Please know that you can actually kill a horse feeding mower-cut grass. They will eat too fast and it won't break down. They can get colic or rupture their intestines!

I have no idea where you are located in the US but it seems so many of these lawns have this thick grass and then large and small bare dirt areas, i see nice rich topsoil on some lawns and others look like the desert Southwest! Would like to know why that is! Kudos to you for taking on these 'tough' lawn jobs you really do a great job bringing them back!
@timdouglass98312 жыл бұрын
He's in Spokane, Washington, which is kind of a desert area. The soil can vary a lot, so a lot of developments have topsoil hauled in. The summers are very dry so if you don't water your lawn constantly it will all turn brown. A lot of these places have poorly set up or broken sprinkler systems, so they have dry areas. It may also be that the part on natural soil (instead of brought in topsoil) is basically growing in a sand pile, so nothing is going to make it grow well. I used to live outside of Spokane and I really don't miss the challenge of trying to grow a decent lawn.

You found an unusual yard. The plants don't look terrible, so overall they have had water. It has been a beloved yard, by landscaping and overall shape. You go to edge and the overgrowth is so bad you are moving mats of material. The Archeological Recovery part is fairly high, with things being buried over time... A good example though of with sheer persistence things can be brought back to order. Thank you for your skills and time. You could really see a huge change as the edging was done. That is a good sun hat you found, it didn't blow away in all your work. Glad you had a breeze to help reduce the heat.
