Yeah, man, it makes sense. Just like when a lot of people said "Firewall Dragon is broken!". To this day I don't know EXACTLY WHY, but I know he's been in a lot of infinite loopy combos. I don't know any of them, though. It's quite a shame, I love Firewall Dragon and would love to see an errata that allows him to return. He wouldn't be META, but he'd be at least playable. My point is: You should be aware of broken combos, to try and prevent against them, and to plan your deck that would use a piece of that combo, no longer being able to use it because it's getting banned in the next list, probably. @@EffigyOfAdam : Google for EDOPro, it's a nifty little software.

Robert Lewis Nah it’s some of the most boring because it accents the “problems” people have with meta decks. The game is more likely then not dependant on a coin flip because the tier 3 decks don’t have the ability to come back after plays or combo as hard as meta decks. At least in a duel with meta decks, if someone gets lightning stormed and then survives a turn, they can usually come back

I finally played against both an optimized Sky Strikers and Machina deck today and understand now why people hate the current meta, lol. This game really needs, like, a hard limit on special summons or something. Either that, or we could go the Duel Links route and reduce the amount of spaces to place monsters and spells/traps on the board in the normal format. It would probably help mitigate some of this. Another route could be to place restrictions on extra deck monsters and prevent them from being able to attack the turn they're summoned. That restriction seems kinda arbitrary as far as old school yugioh goes, but with the current meta, it would probably be a bit more justifiable since the opponent would actually have more opportunities to retaliate (which seems in line with classic Yugioh).

If everyone does use this: Emergency Banlist: Haquifibrax! Konami wouldn't care how new or expensive one card is (especially since the set has other chase cards and isn't their latest set.) But there's also a lot of other cards used in this combo: Diva, Prince, Minstrel, Linkross, etc. I'd honestly start by hitting Moulinglacia, Jaculuslan (cards that consistently discard more than 1 are unacceptable imo), as well as Apoloussa, Dolkka, Nat Beast (cards that consistently negate more than once per turn).

The combo is broken but isn't really something to worry about, the deck is still bricky and fragile and going second isn't really a problem: if u're facing mermail you don't even have to worry about cards like Dark Ruler no More, just put a Dweller on the field and activate the effect during the DP: the opponent hast just to end the turn lol And I say this as a mermail player

They aren’t overused. The mecha phantom beast cards are usually not splashable enough to be played in other decks. And the link has restrictions on it to prevent over use. Linkcross gets used a lot more than the stuff here

This combo can be countered just as easily as the typical "unbreakable board" combo that gets shown on this channel. The unbreakable board can be broken by DRNM and this combo can be stopped before it even begins by hitting the diva with ash blossom. I really don't think it's a game-breaking combo at all.

Game breaking was Cannon Soldier FTK with the Dark Worlds and Firewall Dragon. You could go on up into Azathot and make every handtrap your opponent had useless except for Impermanence. And if they didn't have it in their hand, they'd lose on that turn. It was even showcased in a feature match on an official livestream a few years ago against this kid with his random deck that we didn't really get to see. The look on that kid's face when the guy was explaining that the loop would go on forever was really disheartening. The sad thing, is that it was only Round 1 of the tournament. How you win matters man, if they came out with a "Win" card you would probably play it...I have walked into multiple card shops that barely even sell yugioh any more...It is players like TEAM SAMURAI that ruin the game.. but you don't care, go ahead call old school yugioh "Unga-Bunga" cave man style, I know of multiple card shops that barely sell yugioh anymore, and all the players I talk to hate all these new extra deck rejects and janky card effects with too much text...You "Winners" are being used by Konami and other corporations that just want you to buy the next shiny pack of cards

I think anything that generates tokens is pretty bad with links. Like they always get abused. Linkross is stupid. I think O-lion is busted too. Haven’t seen too much auroradon and Needble fiber doesn’t seem TOO bad. It is strong tho

The 1 card combo was using Deep Sea Diva to destroy his opponent's hand. At that point, starting from 5 cards in hand, he had 1 monster on the field and 4 cards in hand, meaning it's a one card combo. Meanwhile his opponent had zero cards in hand. Everything after that is just gravy, since you can't challenge an established board with a single card from your draw phase, ESPECIALLY if he makes any kind of negate...which he did.

There is a counter to every move, the person playing has to have the correct cards in their hand to do the combo, their opponent has to have the cards necessary to counter. I know a combo that locks out the extra deck locks out the graveyard and negates all monster abilities, but for me to pull that off I have to have the right cards in my hand. A very much has the luck of the draw

This combo certainly isnt healthy, but I wouldnt say it breaks the game. Like what if diva gets ashed or impermed? It seems like you have other plays here but that you have so many garnets that you will end up bricking a bit. I've also done similar stuff to D/D/D, Shaddoll, and Burning abyss and they just try around and play from the grave.
