Meinwerk into not a single upgrade feels like a clown play. The rest of the game makes sense: If you match the Abbasids in TCs Abbasids should have more res available for military which ressulted in more production.

I feel like this opening would have been more effective with culture wing no? Since he went only 2 TC he might as well have gotten all eco upgrades and gotten a faster age up and pumped better units quicker

You forget that the Eco wing also Providers cheaper houses, lumber Camps, Mining Camps and especially farms

Meinwerk is still trash. This happens almost every time, people go Meinwerk hoping that once they reach Imperial they can spam knights. No, HRE won’t even reach Imperial with Meinwerk because your eco will be trash. Aachen into fast castle is the only thing that keeps HRE from being the worst civ in the game.

Meinwerk need so much more support to match the Aachen, and the other landmarks and some techs like benediction to. Benediction see even less use then pro scout. Burgrave is to one dimentional and is to easy to counter and Elsbach has no inpact on the game. I dont know why those dint got some great rework, there where so many ideas in the community.

HRE is fucking OP there is not a single unit abbasid/delhi/ottomans have that can deal with MAA age2. Just make 20 of them and walk under their tc kill every villager there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. English can do it as well but they have worse eco for age2 maa and miss the speed upgrade

@@irou95 "spears dont counter Knights!!1!11" That what you Sound like. You need almost 8 min to train 20 maa ~4 on 2 barracks constant production, 2k food and 400 Gold. Armor Upgrades and marching drills are not even included. So we speak something around Minute 10-12 for the HRE Player to Hit just the unit number and not having a single tech researched. If you cant go up to castle in that time and make a handfull of xbows, the Problem is you not the civ you play against. Abbasid cant counter maa in age 2? How about camel archer? You can kite the Man at Arms invently and dont lose a Single camel archer. Ottomans? How about mass archer with Mehter drums, works just as find. In Addition you have extra units from the Military school. Dehli? Mass horseman + scholar, you can also sprinkle in some archer if you want. As Dehli you simply outproduce and therfor outnumber the HRE player just with the efficient production tech. Your either a Troll or Wood League pepega who dosent even understand the basics of the game.

@@traductus3337 I mean you don't have to wait until you get 20. Just camp their resources outside of base with your MAA (that still have no counters unless your civ has knights age2) If you go castle for crossbows you die because you didn't make any army. If you make army you lose because there is no counters to MAA and you are wasting resources. The only counter is to make stonewalls age2 and try to go hyper lategame but that isn't possible on most maps

It's nice to see the weakest civ in the game getting some sort of love. Been such a lack luster civ for too long. Basically a free win in 1v1, glad they are mixing things up
