I’m looking at this same exact build currently! Definitely mocha over the black interior. Thanks for the review, it single handedly made up my mind

Great looking boat. I actually have the same 18/60, center console, but I have 2 dry storage pods in the back, instead of the back deck, and I have 2-extended rod boxes on each side. I agree with pretty much everything you say about your boat. It takes some getting used to when you try to back and up and turn in narrow canals, but I absolutely love my boat. When I first got it, I got it up to 33.7 mph with only a little gas in the gas tank and none of my tackle boxes, etc. in it. I subscribe to your channel and love your videos and hope to see your boat in them in the future (I’m from Loreauville, LA where the boats are built, and know the owners well).

Thank you so much for watching and your subscription! Also thanks for sharing about your GatorTail. I love this boat more than any other I’ve ever owned! Next time you see the owners, lettem know I’m a fan of their work and have helped a few other folks get into GatorTails as well. Great boats!

Good looking rig. I’ve enjoyed my 19’ 1750 Extreme cutdown hull. I think the tiller is better with the reverse in the thick stuff rather than remote steering. Enjoy sir!!

Hey Congrats on the boat. I actually bought the same boat two years ago. Love GT, great customer service. But... Here are somethings to watch out for on the boat. Every 3-4 trips check bolts around the motor (heat shield bolts, idle nut on the throttle cable, and power steering bolts that are in front of the motor under the trim module. Get yourself a spare trim relay to keep on the boat. Experienced some issues with one. GT gets them from Yak Power and actually covered by a year warranty. Also, the bend along port and starboard side of the center console along the deck where its bolted down. I experienced some cracking after a year of use. Finally, Your trolling motor is a newer gen so they are slightly heaver than your typical hand steer 12 v. I ended up getting a crack under the troll mount where the bow welds to the front/V of the boat. But As im typing this i see they added the doubler plate under your trolling motor so they must of started this improvement on the newer models. All that being said. Gatortail was absolutely the best with remedying these issues. I drove my rig in from Houston and they made the repairs and paint matched in 1 day. The battery mounts i went with and were the most secure was the Attwood trays from amazon. They encase the entire top of the battery and deal with the "rattle" of these boats the best. (this coming from replacing two batteries and trying two mounts. Lastly, dont pay any Marine shop to do repairs on your motor. You will overpay for marine mechanics 150/200+ per hour when it is just a lawn mower engine. I had a burst head gasket after a couple years and found a mobile small engine mechanic who was certfied by Briggs/Stratton and maintained my warranty. It cost me 100 for a new gasket kit (local mower shop had it) and 80$ for his time to stop by my house and show me how to make the repair myself in the future. Best of luck with the boat, I love mine.

Wow! Thanks for the info man! So far the only issue I’ve had is having to replace the wire harness on the motor after about 9hrs run time. No rhyme or reason, but it was obviously under warranty so it was remedied easily. Almost 40 hours on the motor so far and absolutely loving the boat!

How does it corner/cut with the flat bottom? Been looking at one of these but am a bit torn on the flat bottom vs a chine bottom.
@brentallenoutdoorsfl Жыл бұрын
This Extreme Series has a Mod-V in the front, so it cuts quite a bit better than a complete flat-bottom model. That said, taking turns at high rpms you can fully expect to slide. Just something to get used to, really. I'd go with the mod-v any day over the complete flat bottom, personally.

How do you feel about the weight of the power poles ?
@brentallenoutdoorsfl Жыл бұрын
I don’t even notice them really. That might be because I’m using Dakota lithiums back there for everything, though. I could use a bit more weight up front, but it’s not bad at all

I have a question because I'm interested in that boat. where do you store your rods
@brentallenoutdoorsfl5 ай бұрын
There are rod holders up top on the back of the polling platform, but I mostly just lay my rods down in the boat, out of the way so I’m not stepping on them

Good looking setup! I have the same boat other than mine is white and I agree on some of the gripes you mentioned. Amount of money these cost they missed a lot like not painting the bottom, shavings left all in the boat, wiring a mess etc. love mine too but wouldn’t buy another one tight lines sir 🤙

They are ridiculously over priced. I literally built the same boat and installed the same equipment, decking, everything from a jon boat I got on FB market place and it cost less that half of what they wanted.
