21:42 reason growing up in DoD is boring is because you cannot move fast nor fly for 30 mins to an hour while other games allow the opposite. You are forced to sit in a spot where food and water are in walking distance. Makes it much easier for adults to patrol spawn locations and kill hatchlings.

I have a ton of ideas to make Dod fun and enjoyable and I do have one for this Growth:passive growth is one way of growth but there are others the secondary one would be diet a way to speed growth up the third would be qeusts wich would give you a growth boost like in pot and I think it would also be cool if their were mutations that made you grow faster or you could grow faster when nested and near your parents maybe foods that make you grow faster? The Dod devs are legitimately so uncreative and lazy it’s annoying the only real excuse they have is if the devs are inexperienced and even then inexperienced devs shouldn’t take that long unless you’re working less than Minecraft developers

I was a $40 pledger. I got enough out of the game for that cost in the old version, and now I just wait for all the improvements to finally play again. That's no different from paying for The Isle or any other survival game, tbh. They all develop at slow rates, and then break down to nothing again, and remake everything. It's what you need to expect since no Triple A studio wants to make these kinds of games.

They kept adding backer slots for one, then they managed to come out with more dlc before even giving the backers half the things they were promised. Hey Riot! The blitz actually has some other cool features, with it being able to summon thunder storms while it rains, and if you press the Q button, you will see your yellow bile bar slowly turn blue, once it's blue, press it again to release all your stored up lightning! I've been playing this game on and off for the past few years, happy to see you cover it again! There's a lot of other things that came out with the recent update. Such as the so called "Cuddle puddle" being the new eldering system! (Where you just scream at rocks, it's great) I play on the pve server you were on, if you ever need someone to show you around. ♡

I'm aware I'm part of the problem supporting this game but i want as much of a full roster as possible. No its not worth £10 or $10 of any kind. From what I remember. The lead developer couldn't handle criticism and had used a lot of store assets and the game was running like crap. The ones giving criticism were being banned from the discord and I believe some people were being shadow banned from the game itself. I know IGP and Icy were shadow banned. they showed that the devs put in a code that prevented them from playing the game. It's been a little while but that's what I remember. Some people who purchased the game were having issues where it was still telling them they had to buy the game and the devs were saying that it wasn't their issue and to get with Kickstarter but Kickstarter was telling them that they have to talk to the devs. I know a streamer who had that experience.

But he has since removed the hard code ban on Icy and presumably IGP and the others too thanks to Steam. Icy has a stream up showing him playing DoD prior to the update and giving constructive criticism. So yeah, not a great deal has changed about Jao as a dev.

The guy who benefits from the game is a childish scammer called jao. Not only did he do the discord ban spree thing and can’t take criticism but the game had half a million put into it from backers and the game is very low quality still, looking as though he didn’t invest the money he promised to put into the game, into the game, and probably pocketed it. And most of the game has been store bought assets for a long time instead of things made by the dev team. I believe it still is but haven’t seen the game in awhile. There’s also a bunch of other issues, he overprices things like the lightning dragon dlc that costs half the game, believe didn’t pay some people that worked on the game too but don’t remember too well. There’s plenty of videos on it I encourage you to research it : )

The concept of DoD is to have dragons that will be representation of most popular/iconic/recognizable dragon concepts. Hence the European Dragon, Wyvern, dragons from HTTYD etc. Obviously they cannot just rip of some of the original concepts so they need to change it but they didn't steal any concept, trust me there already were concept similar to what we saw in HTTYD before the movie was out. You won't experience what the game really is when it comes to PvP without playing in clan. It's a clan based survival game. You can't brag how bad the game play is when u don't play it the way it was intended to play. I don't understand why having DLC is an issue too, you don't need to have DLC to play the dragon, you can get nested in without owning the DLC. Especially since one of the goals is to have the best stats for ur dragon so spawn dragon will never be enough anyway. They just now added new eldering system, map improvements, new dragons, more mechanics, new AI, pearls etc. When it comes to animations, models, pvp, flying and visuals as for now WoD dont come close to what DoD has to offer imo.

Problem with DLC in DoD is the fact the game is selling them before full release and at half the price of the base game. How did it go from "12k is all we need" to "Some content needs to be DLC to help fund the game. Making games is expensive you know?!" While also getting 530k from the KS funding and thousands a month on Patreons since early 2020? "yOu CaN bE nEsTeD" yeah, two saps still have to fork over cash and get pestered by players not wanting to by it themselves. 😂
