The Most Unique 4X Strategy Game Ever | Heart of the Machine

This game is so utterly unique I really struggled to define its genre. It's more like a spectrum, where on the one side you have a 4X strategy and on the other a turn-based tactical game. But then it adds more dimensions to it (like with the city building and RPG elements). Honestly, hats off to the dev for creating such an interesting game. Don't sleep on this one!

Dynasty Warriors Origins right now, Civ VII in a few weeks, then Monster Hunter Wilds at the end of the month until the heat death of the universe.

I remember attempting to play the demo, but I was so lost that it was hard to really stick with it. I thought it looked like a fun game, but it was a struggle for their barrier of entry. I think it is something I will have to just keep at because it does look like it will be a fun game for sure.

Yup, I totally get that, and it's why I struggled to understand the trailers too. I played for a full morning and at the end, I still wasn't sure if I was making progress. After like 4 hrs though, it was like after enough turns everything clicked for me.
