Fun fact: he has the biggest move pool of any monster. He can do up to 14 hit move-combos in a row when he enters the final phase. And a hand full of his moves can't be blocked by Guard, Guard up and embolden combined.

I still think fatalis has the most amount of moves at his disposal He has like 5 insta kill moves that depends whether his standing or all four legs, plus a nova And 4-5 moves he does depending on where you’re standing This malzeno is just so relentless at it’s combos

i tested guarding all of it moves with guard 5 + guard up 3, it seems only the nova that you cant block

General end, Primo Malzeno is Malzeno *naturally*. Think of it like a Khezu and Red Khezu situation, and during the fight, the Qurio are tryna force Primalzeno to submit and become a new host, which it clearly wants absolutely none of.

So basically, Malzeno never wanted the Qurio. The one we face earlier in Sunbreak has been drained by the Qurio for a very long time, which can be seen by the slimmer, softer look. Primordial Malzeno is in the middle of fighting off his own infestation. And us at the same time. We see the process of the Qurio taking over during the course of the fight, and Malzeno's own kind of Risen form.

i dont have anything crazy for a build, really just the chaotic gore set and i can do it in like 13 mins, i practically know his moveset like the back of my hand

Arc I hope you see this comment to explain the significance of Primordial Malzeno and clear some confusion : To start yes this is Malzeno before his usage of the qurio. This malzeno was built to fight Gaismagorm and known as a protector. His status was tarnished by corrupted Malzeno that destroyed the kingdom. Due to us fighting P.Malzeno it can’t fully focus on killing the qurio eventually transforming his body. Throughout the fight we can notice P.Malzeno resisting the qurio like his super nova attack and his final phase where he tries to maintain himself. At this point this wasn’t a symbiosis it was parasitic for the qurio desperately looking for a host. At first both the hunter and fio saw P.Mal is a massive threat then questions if what we’re doing (intention of killing Malzeno) is the right thing to do. I like this because we as hunters are always taught kill giant threats like elders no matter what. When you think about it what was the purpose of killing nergigante when he basically preserve the balance of nature by killing other elders? P.Malzeno history and how it was betrayed and framed by history makes him such a compelling monster in the series imo. Such a great ending to sunbreak.

Malzeno was the original protector of the Kingdom and fought against Giasmagorm the evil demon. The one we see in the beginning was a Mal that was corrupt by the Qurio and feasted on him reducing his once noble appearance. Primordial is what his true form is, a proud Knight that used his wings like a sword and shield

Ruby and golden wirebugs can still be used despite not having other monsters on the map, it just reduces your wirebugs' cooldown

I really like that in this battle you can't just spam attacks and block every attack malzeno does, you have to wait for the right time to strike and be very fast and agile in dodging, but sadly a lot of players in multiplayer don't do that and just spam attacks and I lost this mission so many times beacuse of that ( don't get me started on the hazard form), but nevertheless its a very good fight and a fitting monster to end this game on.

It seems I was lucky when I got a Primordial Bloodstone from the Bonus Rewards. Honestly, it should have been a guaranteed drop, if only from the Urgent. Anyway, yeah the Silver Slasher is an amazing Dragon SwAxe. The Calamitous Axe may be more powerful on paper, but having three 4-slot decos and not needing Handicraft to reach purple sharpness pushes Primordial's past it in practice, especially on Blood Awakening sets.

Fun fact: even though this was the last monster added, it's not the toughest one to fight. In my experience, that has been risen shagaru magala with dual blades. Also you're my favorite KZbinr and have been subscribed to you for a little over a year. First KZbinr I ever subscribed to for your amazing videos.

The game can be played however you want, if for some reason you feel burnt out in the middle of HR you can switch, it really doesn't matter

"Save Malzeno" Then we proceed to kill him for materials LOL. I realise how under level I am when I fight this thing. I was MR 10 without any arguments. Tried to fight him when I was MR6 just to get one shot by him. Each hit does damage more than half of my health
