i was lucky enough to go to the preview and grand opening of the new book-off store, and i'm happy to say that it definitely didn't disappoint! this was somewhat of a different manga shopping video, so i hope you enjoy!

What I mostly look for is a good selection of manga and light novels, but I like when they arent only popular manga and when they actually have more than a handful of light novels. Where I live, finding a store with underrated series is incredibly hard and even harder to find light novels. If I can find both of these, it always makes my day

i love the figure selection!! eva garage kits, love live, the two hachikujis and even some mikus that ive never seen in stores really make me wanna check it out. plus the mini merchandise seems cool too. im pleasantly surprised!

ohhh nice a bookoff waaaay closer to me, now i can actually go lol the most important thing i look for is also a good selection of figures (reasonably priced) and not the typical ones you'd see at any con. whenever i go to a store and i see the same miku prize figures it kinda just tells me what else is there lmao. one thing i actually really like though at random stores or at cons is when they have an assorted basket of small things like pins or charms or whatever for like $5 or less from mixed series and you just kinda look through it to see if you can find any hidden gem, ive found a lot of random things id never thought to find from that LOL

Great video, and thanks for taking us to Book Off! This shop looks so neat and clean. I'm surprised they had a variety of stuff, especially that retro games section. I'll have to stop by if I'm ever back in LA. Hopefully, more stores like this will open in other states and cities. Also, great haul! You got some amazing deals.

A good selection of manga (not just popular titles), light novels, and merch, such as figures, keychains, etc., is what I look for. Again, such a crazy deal on the Slime boxset!!

All Book-off grand openings and pop-ups are normally like this. You can get great deals if you can spot them (congrats on the Slime boxset!). So take advantage when you can. I look forward to the follow up vids because stores usually settle down a few months later.
