We don’t need an Odessey 2 or a Galaxy 3, as much as I would love it to happen, just remember this: Galaxy came out in 2007 and Odessey came out in 2017. Within 10 years they released three 3D Mario games. Now Nintendo needs to focus on the next Mario games that they release since they are getting better and better. Be patient everyone, the longer it takes the better the Mario game is!

I really hope the next 3D Mario game is neither fully open world or fully linear, but a hybrid or a semi-open world. For example an archipelago of floating islands of various sizes up to half the size of a kingdom and launchers that send Mario flying from one island to another. Additionally, will The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom be playable on the Switch 2 without the lag and frame stutter that the Switch had?

Here's a thought I just had: Super Mario Odyssey's areas are fully traversable, and so are Super Mario Wonder's level select screens. What if the next logical step is to combine those two functionalities? What better way to demonstrate the capability of the Switch 2 AND bring back a beloved game in a fresh new way than to make Super Mario Odyssey 2 a Switch 2 launch title AND make it open-world? Ohh, that would be my dream~

I'm very excited for the next 3D Mario Game! Its been my favorite series in all of video games since childhood. Bowser's Fury was fun, but I don't think being open world really added much to it; at the end of the day it felt like a third (much smaller) game in the 3D Land/World series, which is great, but not especially innovative. Open world or not, Mario's core move set and new abilities, locations, and music are what will make the next game shine!

The problem I had with Kirby is the coop. My wife and I really wanted to enjoy this game, and we did.. but it felt lacking. As second player is just kind of a button attack spammer and doesnt get to do all the fun stuff. I do not like when games treat Player 2 like a generic add on.
