I’m shocked they didn’t consider their new perk (vulture aid) being 100% ineffective in this game mode. Seems like an oversight imo. And the lack of armor plates dropping also kills a bit of the fun. It doesn’t make sense to charge essence to repair armor that will be destroyed within 1 minute of high round gameplay, within such a broken economy to begin with. My conclusion is vulture aid should drops points, ammo, and plates in this mode and that would fix so much for me!

Honestly, I'd say if they added random perks to the normal powerup drop cycle (while obviously making them super rare) and Aetherium wrenches/crystals to the boss drop cycles (again while making them rare) the economy problem of BO6 would be a lot more manageable, as while things will still be super expensive, there will be ways to skip to higher tier gear for free (and early dependant on RNG)

The higher difficulty would be good if there was actually a reward for surviving it. Maybe one of the main zombies characters wearing a Christmas jersey for example? Oh wait this a live service game, even that has to be sold on the store for $20 bucks.

I’ve beaten the ee with this mode and make it to round 41 and I’m enjoy everything but the lack of armor, it’s a fundamental part of the gameplay and not having it feels like bad game design cause zombies still behave the same and same damage, this armor thing feels like annoying difficulty not a fun challenge

I was hoping with a “classic” mode and the removal of rarities, crafting, and armor, that they would scale the damage, speed, and reach the zombies have to match the classic modes. Getting 3 shot on round 40 is so unfair imo

Zombies drop from their normal loot pool, including vulture aid, if they're frozen, be it with cryo freeze or snowballs. Outside of being frozen there are no drops, including the mangler cannon from destroying the first mangler arm cannon.

I like it. I love the fact that it reminds me of old school classic zombies. Not having much to rely on. Plus having to use what I like to call “no touch skills. All in all I like it 👍🏾

3:25 I appreciate your comment on my post on Reddit about this mode. You had a level headed response while I got told "Skill Issue" and "You must be a new zombies player" Didnt expect to start such a controversy on the BO6Zombies subreddit, but it really does feel like a bug with no armor drops. Spending 10k if you have a three plate vest for armor feels wrong still. Frenzied Guard with augments, and using shields up made the mode far more enjoyable in my subsequent playthroughs, but balance still feels a little off. For reference I have been playing zombies since the original DLC packs dropped in WaW, and this is one of the more challenging modes theyve released. Just loaded in with some randoms expecting to play somewhat similarly to how BO6 zombies plays and was reviving teammates multiple times a round in the low 20s my first time in. It felt genuinely unplayable. Much better experience now that I know what to expect.

Yeah the armor is a huge problem... Even with Vulture aid it wasn't helping at all. The damage in rounds past 20 is VERY real when you're lacking plates...

@hollow7029 My only gripe with how the gamemode plays is that I've gotten too used to keeping a primary weapon with me the entire time (usually for grinding camos). Back on black ops 1 and 2, I used to just throw away weapons whenever when I was out of ammo. I'll give it another chance.

Tiers are just half the power of a PAP level. So Tier 2 rarity is PAP level 1. PAP 3 and Legedary rarity is basically PAP level 5.

I actually like it, it is a challenge and it makes you really think about what to use and what to go in with when you start a game of jingle bells. Plus keep a mind to where you are when the snow frost comes in cause that really impedes your movement.

I think this is a somewhat perfect, fun game mode. It’s not hard in the beginning, but it gets challenging. So in a way it’s easy but then it gives you a challenge. So basically the more you play it, the more fun it gets.

I want a classic mode, but I want it to be the same as classic. Meaning, zombies health doesn’t increase as fast, you get more zombies to make up for that, and no plates, and scaled for no plates. Also you should start with a pistol and be required to use in game stuff like the old days. What I want is the feel more than anything. This gave me those vibes to some degree, but it’s not the same and could have been if they just had balanced it differently to be designed for no plates, taken them away, and boom. Good game mode. Also, give us back the box. Removing that really does remove the classic feel because that’s all I used

there aren't mystery boxes in this unless you use a gobble gum. Archie farming also seems to be the best here because they seem to have a higher chance from dropping at lower rounds from the bugs. at some point they become rare/stop dropping. went to round 40 first day. fun mode

you need to be INSIDE.. for the Frosty mode... anywhere.. holiday lanes is probably best place to be for most space.. Gimme an OUTBREAK MODE please..........i loved the open world, unlimited time mode ...best ever ( for my play style ).

You can still get Aether Tools thru the getting 400 in the Bowling Easter Egg. Frenzied Guard is by far the best and most reliable way to get Armor Back in my experience.

I don't remember if cod does this or not, but I know other companies use LTM's to test out features for future updates/games. So the slowing down effect might be a test for a future map. Key word being MIGHT. Edit: this would also double as the "classic" test where the players can't craft anything because salvage is gone.

I love it. The presents are such a fun way to make up for no mystery box/ammo stations/crafting tables. I wouldn't mind higher armor drop rates, but it's not a must. Can also use frenzied guard.

I feel when people say they want the game harder. They mean like a new mode or system that has like tiers to it. I'm thinking along the lines of roguelites/roguelikes where you have tier 1: Enemy health +50% Salvage Drop rate +20% Point multiplier *1.15 and so on. I'd like a system like that personally with a lot of different modifiers

Played 3 times and crashed 3 times. I thought was my internet connection, so I used my phone hotspot and the game crashed again. Barely armor drop make the gameplay slower because you can't go full offensive, you got to shoot a little, run and repeat.

Treyarch: Hey, beat this more complicated version of the Liberty Falls main mission, with no arsenals, crafting tables, very rare armor drops, and get the same rewards you probably already have for completing it normally. It’s cool though, because presents and snowmen. I like the aesthetics, but I don’t care about the cheer gumballs I’ll never use. (Edit: I’m not complaining about the difficulty, that’s fine. I just feel like I need a better reason to try harder?)

I am not sure how you all feel about this, but I hated it.. I am not getting Armor drops.. I keep dying at like round 13 lol (my first Zombies, not a cod guy typically) If the drops give you a fair amount of supplies Id like it a bit more, but why they make it so heavy on RNG? I hate RNG games.

I started with the decoys, then chopper so you can craft it, then field upgrades you use. Almost all the guns are permanent unlocks if you got the battle pass.

Aether shroud, mutant injection, other than that I had saved most of my unlock tokens up to prestige 10 and just used the rest on things required/useful for EE steps (Molotov/shock charge/mangler cannon)

I really enjoy this mode, it gives a lot of replay value to one of the easier maps to make it more difficult additionally I think this would feel more like classic zombies mode if they just added the mystery box as it stand now the only way to get the box is fire sale gumball

Just dont do the easter egg as its bugged right now. The zombies in the fight are terribly tanky, like in round 17 the EE basic blue eyed zombies can take an entire clip of a PaP 2 legendary sniper to the head and still have half their health left. Was doing a whopping 2 damages to the manglers....Otherwise, the mode is actually fun.

I am enjoying it overall I appreciate the challenge but it could definitely be more rewarding and I in contrast to you do NOT like the insane bug rounds I've been taken out several times by the stupid bugs. The presents should have better rewards and the zombies should drop at least a little bit of armor.
