The event allows a self-rez, meaning that concertina wire may be more popular to deal with this. They must have known that the bomblance could also see more use with the increase in wire use. So they added more options for it.

Loving the event when doing duos with my brother, the ability to save our hunter after we die has been super useful in creating level 50 characters for us. And it's notthat hard to get as long as the entire server isnt at your compound right out of the gate.

I absolutely love the Bomb Lance now. I only have Dragonsbreath til now, but I kill really many people with the Dragon shot or I hit them hard and kill them with the Uppercut on 5-6 MMR. Now I'm excited for this steel ball ammo.

Seems like a great and fun Lance upgrade! In terms of viability though, I'm sure a Romero talon is more "competitive" in pvp and does similar things. But the huge pve benefit and potential hilarity of mowing several people down with huge melee reach makes it worth playing for sure 😁And I guess you can keep your silent "shotgun" hidden for longer which maybe helps?

This event so far has been a BLAST for me as a solo! I love self-reviving behind unsuspecting enemies! I get instantly burned or camped and instantly killed usually but cheat death makes it bearable. I'm not sure if it is good for the game though, even though I have fun using it. We'll see in time. It is pretty easy to counter but devastating if you're unaware. Fun either way!

I like the rule that you need not only the perk itself, but the points also for doing this self-revive + the fact it’s not working in teamplay. It think it makes solo gameplay fair (cuz as an opposing side you could still use the concertina, poison clouds and bear traps to prevent the revive). But we'll see if they keep this new mechanic after the event or not. Being mostly a solo player I hope it will stay.

Honestly I hate self revive solos in trios, your either getting cucked by a 3 stack alone or an annoying POS because you get mistaken as part of a trio in a server fight, then get surprised and shot in the back. I think there needs to be an indicator after being looted because quite frankly solos shouldn’t be rewarded by throwing themselves at a server fight with surprise kills.

You know I've loved every bit of this event so far but by far the thing I love most is the new change to Necromancer even if it currently at least is only going to be for the duration of the event.

Quite honestly I will say though the thing I want most from this event or rather after this event is over is two key changes with the first being that the trait changes to necromancer should just stick as base new rework for that trait because I feel that it truly makes it possible to actually play solo without having to deal with the bullshit of Trades and it doesn't actually stop the trades from happening in the first place but at bare minimum means that when you get those stupid ass trades it isn't such a big deal and it also helps by making it so the devs don't have to lower the maximum ping limit and basically shut out a portion of the player base even though I do think the pain limit should at least drop by a bit. As for the second change though that I think is more important is that the way the trait system in general works when it comes to the tiered Hunters should be that the base level three Hunters come with a base six straight points for you to mess around with and then every Hunter tier above that should then come with an extra one or perhaps two trade points though I feel one would probably be more balanced and the random traits assigned should just flat out be removed instead being replaced with the more trade points the higher the tier is as well as the higher grade weapons that Hunter May spawn with as I feel that the loadout side at least of the hunters should stick around. Be on that I feel that the legendary skins should only get to be equivalent to a tier two Hunter mainly because most of them end up being pretty camouflaged almost being its own benefit tantamount to those two extra upgrade points.

Like flat out if they make those two changes then I feel that the game will be in so much better a place than it is now and that isn't even necessarily to say it's in a bad place but just that solo play is in a terrible place right now. Like it would be so interesting and fun to have a base amount of traits that could let you bring perhaps quartermaster or Levering or perhaps if you have a higher tier level hunter, Fanning or perhaps someone could bring more obscure or interesting traits to incorporate them into their build making actual genuine build diversity as opposed to everyone running the same meta tier guns because that's the only thing you can fit in your basic Loadout and tell you run a game or two and get enough trait points to actually throw in some interesting traits with beyond that again with the changed of necromancer, playing solo would actually be viable since you can basically permanently run the new Necromancer if you're playing solo giving you that extra little chance even if someone can still bring a fire bomb and easily enough burn you out as when you get back up the burn speeds back up and takes a big chunk meaning even if you survive you're most likely just going to be able to limp out of the map to extraction as opposed to actually be able to do anything.

Man, i really hope that Crytek will keep "pacts" in the game in one form or another. It's really something new and fun to play with. Maybe the first stage of the earth pact needs some work as it actually removes the concept of "permanent death" from the game, but otherwise I really like how this whole system is balanced and I would like to see it in the game on a permanent basis. P.S Crytek somehow managed to add a new shotgun and didn't piss everyone off. Nice work devs.

Now it just got better but the default harpoon is really good and still my favorite. When it comes to range the explosive harpoon is the best because if you can land it they will die on console even with bulwark.

Nope. I don't think necro has ever been restricted by fire. Your partner will res in fire tho obviously, so it's not great, but sometimes the sound of the fire can even cover the sound of the res lol

It's to do with the ammo type. You get the shotgun style crosshair instead of the crossbow style one because it transforms the bolt projectile into a shotgun effect.
