​@unlink1649 same mindset as "if I shoot someone in the head they should die" for fps games. Like if you want that type of game it exists, but a lot of people(maybe even majority) prefer a arcadier type of game. Which is one of the reasons why arcady games of different genres usually are much more popular than the realistic counter part. I enjoy both WT and WoT but in terms of active users a small part of the RU server equals to all of WT's active users. It doesn't measure the quality of the game, just what more people on average are attracted to.

The concept is actually so cool and refreshing. I wish we had a plane game similar to this. Imagine War Thunder, but you play as Ace Combat's famous pilots. I would kill to play that sort of thing

Been having a blast with the play test so far. The tanks feel great, the progression is actually fun, and the maps are generally pretty well designed. I really enjoy the tank designs, it's fun to see these alternate versions of real vehicles, plus the upgrades physically changing the tank a lot of the time is also great. It's 100% an arcade game but it's a really fun time.

I used to play the console version of WoT up until they added a modern tanks mode. This looks almost identical to that. I then switched to War Thunder, built my first PC and have never gone back. I just prefer the more “realistic” combined arms feel of War Thunder.

i am completely opposite. I played and grow in world of tanks blitz and their arcade mode is so fun. you can heal tank, have many different buffs and mechanics and such. to me project cw seems like a promising game

In WoT there is bo smoke, in Project CW you can activate your night vision to look through the smoke. You can sprint with your x or your shift key :)

A hero shooter... But with tanks. Idk about that one, really. Even less coming from Wargaming of all people, But i do have to admit, they do seem to have fixed one of my major pet peeves with WoT, that being the spotting system. In this games tank don't seem to despawn when you aren't looking at them. The game looks like a promising take on the Arcade tank shooter, it might be worth keeping an eye on it

I think the tonk designs are pretty interesting, I didn't notice it at first but Jager is carrying the dummy-tank on the engine deck. Which... would probably melt the rubber... but it's still cool. And raketa is like, cobbled together from helicopter parts.

Thermals in this game allow you to see through smoke, so with the Jager you can deploy smoke and then still see through it. Though enemies with thermals can also see through your smoke too Also fully level Jager is pretty strong, can deal even 2k damage when you hit an ammorack :)

armored warfare died years ago and didnt have this level of detail by far, that game always suffered from one thing to another which is why its basically unplayable today, this game i will say had me pretty hyped for the release after i played 3 days in a row cause how fun the tanks were and their abilities/quirks...like Titan is built to take beatings and repair them fast to get back into the fight, he gets improved repair kits with his perks and his trait is after going below 50% HP his repair kit resets its cooldown, hes rather good.

Raketa is a modified T-62A (real one never had autolader) which was a pre-production version of T-62 armed with a 100mm rifeled gun insteed of 115mm smoothbore

It’s very fun I’ve play it as well, very fast paced. Tanks still have their weak spots and strengths like the front of some tanks are pretty much impervious to shells. Only annoyance is what ever hits me from the sky and I can’t see it, it’s like some sort of small pinpoint explosion, not sure if it was a bug or a skill. The voice lines are very cringe and get old fast.

Imo armored warfare failed because it was too similar to world of tanks. It could have been something really unique but it seems like the publisher didn't want that. Hopefully CW can stick to their original vision closely enough but we'll see

@@PanzerPaw True they were trying to copy to much the WOT formula and just left Obsidian's vision to dust. I really do like modern tanks that's why I still stick to Armored warfare from time to time despite its flaws I still have a bit of fun, and also play WT but the grind on that is too difficult for me who can only play a few days a week.. this game having CW vehicles plus you can mod them up interests me a lot.

The game looks promising but just by watching this video i can already see a few problems. 1. The tanks health or hit points are so small, for me this could be increased by 2-6k HP. 2. There's not really good features, I mean there are some but there's no features that is different or unique from the other war gaming games. I would like to see that we can fire our tanks machine guns or something else. 3. There's no tech tree this means there no things to really grind for months or more. This means new players can easily just give up on the game and not play leading to its fall. But i hope the game will be finished and fluent since the art style, gameplay and theme is something we never see on a tank game before.

I would say, this game is by far the fastest paste tank games of all Tank games. Yes, even faster than WOTB or Warthunder Naval Mobile. This isn’t a realism sim game. This is a Hero Shooter but with tanks. So I’ll not gonna compared to WOT and Warthunder. Because, Warthunder is not a Hero Shooter. So I’ll compare this game to the games more like, Hero Shooter, like OW2 and Apex. I would say, so far, Project CW is decent games. Better than OW2 definitely. Current, CBT stills have some optimization problems, but it also kinda my fault. Hence, my graphics card is on the low end of this game minimum requirements. Overall, it’s enjoyable, for now. We know how shady WG can be when adding new vehicles. But it would be hard, as to add premium vehicles is kinda impossible, as most Hero Shooters will usually have free to play classes with paid skins. So I guess Project CW might be that too. BUT again, this is WG, a company who hates fun. Okay they have Demolition mode like Valorant….

Hero shooters rake in cash via cosmetics so that maybe how wargaming would milk the playerbase? or its possible they'll offer premium modular upgrades(in WOT, there was something like bonds that could allow you to buy special bond equipment, equipment that is better than the current equipment in game). and since the modular upgrades in project CW also have a visual effect, then they could double as a cosmetic. Like in the video, the rhm module for the leopard affected the look of the barrel. Directly buying these modular upgrades might be overtly pay to win. So wargaming might bury it in the battlepass or something to make players think of it less as pay to win. I do hope that when the game fully comes out someone tries to identify all the dark patterns used in the game. Dark gaming patterns are techniques deliberately used by game designers to create unwanted negative experiences for the players. These patterns often benefit the game designer at the expense of the player's enjoyment. An example of a dark pattern used in both WOT and WT is the grinding aspect(they can further milk the player by offering a premium time or vehicle that makes the grind faster)
