i am completely new to Notion and i have literarily spent the last 3 days and at least $150 buying templates, watching hours and hours of tutorials only to get frustrated. i am so so glad i came across your video. i saw the first one similar to this you posted and i finally feel better about putting all the butt load of work i have in one space. i also have very very severe ADHD and the last few days have been hell. so i definitely appreciate how straightforward you made these .

Word of advice (to anyone who's reading this): don't buy templates unless you've watched the full KZbin video of how the owner of the template uses it for their purposes. Look for tutorial videos abt Notion study plans, finance plans, language learning plans or whatever it is you're looking for... instead of browsing the site directly for templates to buy. I almost got hacked from randomly downloading templates on the Notion site. And see if you can find free templates too before going all out on the paid ones.

You did a video like this before. I took one look and did a major overhaul and started getting a whole lot more real work done.

Ay! I'm glad that it helped :D

This sounds exactly like the deranged rants I go on when scrolling the Notion subreddit, except nobody around me use Notion so they just ignore me. The Spotify widget exists now just to let me know that this person doesn’t use their Notion and I can scroll past because there’s gonna be nothing new to see.

Have you noticed that there are far fewer 'Here is my university template!' postings lately? We are all still on a learning curve.

I am starting to learn notion and loving it. Your tutorials are helpful and get to the point of being productive which is what it is for.

Another video that I'm going to watch 100 times! I have your Headquarters Template (Which I love), but still have questions, and this I think is answering a few more of them. Step by step! Thanks again for these videos!

Amazing! Glad this find this video helpful and so happy you like Headquarters. If you have any specific questions about the template, feel free to email me :D

Super helpful. The months tasks can we change colours

The tasks in the calendar are not appearing in the correct order, even though I have arranged them in a specific order in table view. How can I fix this issue?
@Chrqma9 ай бұрын
You gotta arrange them for calendar a second time, so click the three dots and click properties and do it there while in calender view

Great video, I like your style, just have 1 request - in the future video hopefully you'll begin with the end, or preview of the end in the beginning!✌

I tried to purchase the template. It took my money and then nothing... there is no contact email on the site. Do not purchase from them until these issues are fixed.

I started with Notion by having pages and pages on my main dashboard. Trust the process because the system will come out eventually. I started to organize these pages into buckets of my life like work, and personal businesses. Then I started utilizing databases in the most basic way, then I started using relations, etc etc. It has to start simple, and let it grow. We have different ways of organizing things and don't just randomly copy somebody else's dashboard. It can help to inspire you how other people do it, but it will eventually come. HAHAHA

I am tryna do something a lil out of my league on notion, basically creating a pantry where I have exact amounts of ingredients I have, for example 1700g flour, 500g sugar... and then have a second database with recipes that require 300g flour, 100g sugar etc... and just be able to click a recipe to subtract the ingredients needed from the pantry and show whats available, whats needed. Do you have any tutorials that could help or can you make some I have been at it for 6 hours today :)

Your pantry idea sounds like an apocalypse prepper's dream. Add a column for expiration dates. If Mr. Notion Setups doesn't have a template, search YT people for Notion Formulas and using buttons within databases. That might help you figure something out. By the way, I've been at Notion a few years and still consider myself a novice. Mr. Notion Setups has been a big help making me 'think different' about how to use this app.

that's an interesting idea. I have a free grocery template which could spark some ideas. I actually think Notion Ai or Chat GPT would be helpful with that project. If not using Ai, you'll need relations and rollups to make this work :)
@Chrqma9 ай бұрын
I have already watched the groceries vid 😭 that’s where I got the idea I’ll try notion AI and automations which I have never tried 💪

With you on a lot, but the weather widget is indispensable to me. I work 1.5 hours on a train away from my home...if I don't know the weather in the city, I dress wrong and get cold/hot/wet/look like a moron :(

We get it. You don't like people who style their Notion's to their liking. You did this video already. You don't need to make it your personality. Get on with the things you like rather than bashing others.

totally fair :) I thought this video was a more succinct than the previous one and is easier to follow along to.

Been using notion since 2019, I've tried these type of templates just to realize a week later after spending HOURS working on it "this is a waste of my time, not productive at all, and serves no purpose" So I removed all that dumb clutter and now my notion is boring but functional and I'm ok with that, I still suck at databases but my notion does what I need with what I've learned so far. If having all of these add-ons and pictures works for you, more power to you :)
