AEK-971/973 family is known for it's laser accurate full-auto fire irl not for the burst fire as depicted in CODBO6. It's rival the AN-94 is known for the hyper burst fire.

The AEK should've been a high fire rate full auto Assault Rifle with the AN94 as a 2 round burst fire Marksman Rifle. The AN's burst fire is so fast it would feel like a semi auto. Could've been interesting to play with.

I've been using the AEK since launch and I absolutely love it (it's even my main gun in Zombies!) but I always felt outclassed, until I unlocked Rapid Fire. I'm almost positive the AEK benefits from Rapid Fire more than any other weapon, it nearly doubles the rate of fire. This gun feels so good to use, might try some of Handler's setup!
