I’ll give you a quick summary of why BTS is huge . Their huge because they aren’t your normal kpop group . Not even your normal boyband . Bts fans sometimes don’t like to put bts with kpop or boyband categories even tho they are the biggest boyband / kpop group in the world right now . Mainly because of how different they are to other groups, western artists and the term “ boyband “ comes with insults and stereotypes such as people thinking they don’t write their own music, only for teens etc. So BTS is is acronym for the korean name “BANGTAN Sonyeondon”. Which translates to “BULLETPROOF BOY SCOUTS “ That name has a meaning . Basically bts is a group that wants to use their music and platform to spread positivity and connect with people of all race and gender while teaching people music has the power to transcend and translate messages regardless of your race , age or gender . They also go by “beyond the scene” or Bangtan boys . This is something kpop fans and Armys always want to teach people especially since kpop groups tend to get a lot of racist hate comments sometimes because of their looks , called girls and other homophobic insults . Over the years BTS has tackle topics in their music such as mental health and suicide ( taboo topics in Asian culture ) anxiety, loneliness, politics , women’s empowerment , Domestic Abuse , government , pursing your dreams and not living somebody else dream , differences between old and younger generation , motivation to youth , socio-economics , self love , self care and struggles and motivating people , Etc . they want their music to connect anyone regardless of your age : kids , teens , adults , elders etc Also bts fanbase actually a lot more diverse in age and gender then you think . Majority of the fans are over 21 despite how many screaming girls you see on Social media. I’m 24 , kpop fan since high school. My co workers in their 20s, 30s and 40s are fans . Both male and female . Even John cena is a fan lol. Me personally I love them also because they contribute a lot to Asian representation since there a lack of Asians in American media , entertainment etc BTS is also known for contributing to charities and causes. They donated 1 Million Dollars to Black Lives Matter and the Armys ( bts fandom name) donated 1 million dollars as well in just 24Hrs. Total of 2million was donated. The Armys also take part in creating their own projects naming it after the members such as planting trees , donating money to children hospital , canned food drives and many more . Overall BTS is huge because they work hard to show people Music has the power to transcend and translate messages regardless of race , gender, religion, language or age. Perfectly said. They aren't a boy band with a silly fandom. BTS and ARMY are now a social movement for change in the world - one good deed at a time.!! He should check out the One in an ARMY website - the charity side of BTS + ARMY is incredible, and makes me so proud to stand with them. (I'm 49 ..... and my Nan - also ARMY - is 88!!)

Filmed just outside of LA, it includes some of the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps. It was choreographed by Sienna Lalau from LA. She is a 20 yo and also choreographed BTS's " Dionysus" and J-hope's "Chicken noodle soup". She is front and center in beginning of "ON" and one of the multinational dancers in J-hope's song (she has a black and yellow shirt, similar to Becky G's, and long braids).

This version of 'ON' is of dance - its specifically the music expressed thru movement (kinetic manifesto) and a 'film' rather then a 'music video' - they also incorporate the band into the choreography. There is an actual MV version of 'ON' that weaves together much of their fictional storyline (that goes throughout their MVs) as part of the Bangtan Universe. ARMY can tell you more about the BU. And there is an 'ON Commentary' video about how the choir and band came to be in the production. Also 'CC' are accurate for HYBE Labels or BangtanTV, but other videos where they are in award shows, or fan-made 'lives' are not as accurate, though I have to say, some fan made videos are great. And auto-generated CC are definitely not accurate translations. Some lyrical only videos (no performance) are also not translated well. Ask ARMY when you are confused, they will guide you.

I think that most ARMYs do love these kinds songs more, and also pretty sure BTS themseves likes these songs more...as MIley Cyrus once said - there are songs you make as a job and songs you make as your artistic outlet. Dynamight and Butter to me are the songs they have to make to get the mainstream recoginition they deserve while songs like ON are what they like and who they are.

I am watching all of ur bts reacts starting from butter.. I know you will fall in love with them as you progress.. it's always fun to watch ppl falling in love with them with each song slowly and gradually. I am glad u dint have over exaggerated reactions to dynamite and butter. That made me believe that you were honest and not just doing it for views. I just started to watch your reaction and scrolled down to watch your older ones. You said why you haven’t heard of this fantastic song. Well, you may heard of butter and dynamite a lot on radios and everywhere, but do you know radios refused to give this amazing song spins because it is in korean? It has a total of only 4 spins on the first week compared to butter and dynamite. That’s where the audience is losing out the opportunity to hear excellent songs.

Hi again hahaha I love how hyped you’re getting😂 so that rapper you liked is j-hope. He does a collab with Becky g for chicken noodle soup lol it’s awesome. My favourite rapper is suga, solo name agust d, please watch daechwita - your mind will be BLOWN. And RM the other rapper I think is the best from a technical standpoint, you should check out joke by him. That being said, they all do solo work as well, some part of mixtapes but most just solo tracks on BTS albums. They do subunits as well. My favourite is by the rapline called Ddaeng, no MV but insane wordplay, Unbelievable flow, check out an explanation video bc it’s crazy. KEEP GOING lol😍

I am fascinated with your reactions. Be aware that BTS has several versions of each song (MV, LIVE, Dance practice choreography, etc)… Mostly I prefer their dance practices as they show everything and they practice hard! They are incredible! I am also somewhat new to BTS and I am having a blast getting to know their music! Have fun!

Dynamite and Butter are happy tunes designed to make people smile during covid and lockdowns. Their Korean music is (a lot of the time) extremely deep with very important social messages. Make sure you hit the CC button for Eng Subs. ON is an Anthem saying "Bring it ON" - the pain will make us stronger as together we will fight and we will win! With ARMY they will reach the top!
