I’d be curious to know the reasoning behind the different style. Is the faster pace, edit-heavy style the KZbin meta? I’m torn on how I feel about it, because I usually like these style videos, but the appeal of draft league, to me at least, is the slower paced video showing every thought going through the battler’s head. The back and forth decision making with yourself, the live anticipation of the opponent’s plays, I feel that’s the whole character of draft league. But that’s just me, still enjoyed the video!

It could be a lot of things, but I personally think that this video us a product of Chase experimenting with a post-commentary video format. It's been a long time (years) since the Gen 6-Gen 7 booming draft league scene, but I remember back then that when Chase started to not do well, he would stop doing live commentated battles and start doing post commented ones because that way he could give the battles his full attention and not be distracted by trying to be entertaining WHILE trying to battle well (at least I am pretty sure that I am remembering that being his states reason correctly). And considering he went into this video 0-2 in both of the leagues he's currently in, I could 100% see him falling back on that. The problem is, post comm videos struggle to be as entertaining because they lack that suspenseful sense of engagement, experiencing the battle with the creator in real time. So this might be his attempt at trying to make a post comm a lot more interesting. Of course, all of that is merely speculation based on having watched Chase for many many years now. Maybe he just wanted to try something new. Maybe he had an issue where the initial recording during the battle had technical issues. Maybe all of the above.

I also think I prefer the live commentary of the old style. I like the glimpse inside their head. You felt the joy of a really good prediction with the coach

I appreciate the attempt to spice things up, but I do prefer the longer/live battle analysis. I like watching the live reactions and thought process to a battle. I don't mind post commentary either, but this one felt a little rushed through.

Who decided including all legions and all ogerpons in one pick was a good idea thats insane

Surprised they didn't give the person both Urshifu as well, smh

Wont lie, not my favorite format compared to the longer form. Not having the team breakdown was maybe the biggest thing for me and it felt a bit too fast paced, BUT you did a good job explaining the plays and still going to be here to support

I honestly don't like the format, curious why you moved away from the detailed analysis that you're so good at. I hope you still keep doing some of your more traditional videos!

A quality video for sure but the long form videos are my favorite. The team building and decision making is very enjoyable

The first 10 seconds was hilarious. I honestly wished we saw more of the live battle. This was an interesting experiment but I deffo prefer the longer videos with the analysis and the full battle.

Post commentary is not really my thing, I enjoyed the video regardless but I hope this isn't a permanent change :)

I appreciate the effort put into trying a new format for draft battles, but I don’t know if this is the play. Feels very…concentrated. Too much info and doesn’t let viewers really spectate the game. This all being said I know you said in the watch together you were busy this week, so this could have just been an offset about this. Not trying to hate just trying to give feedback.

All ogerpons on one slot is insane! How many points was that? If it wasn’t 20 min that’s the greatest value of all time!

I really like the moveset cut aways as the pokemon show up in the battle. Keeps it really dynamic.

I like a good post battle recap style. This was too fast for my taste. It kinda views like every 60 seconds was designed for a YT short or TikTok reel. Just a bit jarring going from point to point. Still enjoyed it overall. If this is the format the rest of the season I'll still be sat every week.

Wasn't expecting that video format when I saw the notification. Honestly kinda liked it, not to say that the longer format was bad at all. The mixing and meshing of the team info into the battle itself was really nice, imo.

I don't think I've seen a Draft League Video done like this, I'm sure this was a lot of work, but honestly this was really good for how unique it.

Still love the videos but prefer the ~30 minute format. Seems more natural and you can give your thoughts and opinions for each move.

Is this format a product of you ditching live comms Chase? A way to spice up a post comm style? I think if youre gonna do post comm, this is the best way to do it I think. I personally am not a fan of post comm in general but I support you however you wanna format your vids. EDIT: Also Im really sad you ditched the subtitles. I thought that was really cool and inclusive of you to have those.

Also, that said, I'm sorry you've been on this losing streak lately and I hope you're able to turn it around soon. This matchup on paper just seemed unfair frankly. Al four Ogrepons in one team slot is unreal
