Love me some Hydretain…especially here in our desert climate.

I applied the liquid about two weeks. It definitely works.

Severe drought here in Texas, Hydretain helps but i can still see stress coming. Now we have watering restrictions.....sucks because my lawn was looking GREAT this year.
@TheALG2 жыл бұрын
I know in some states restrictions does not apply if you are hand watering. But you have to actively hold down the hose nozzle.
@kapilkirpekar34332 жыл бұрын
I feel your pain. I’m in Texas too and we are also allowed watering only once a week. That’s insane. Lawns stressing a lot.

Will this work on Kentucky Blue Grass during the hot Georgia summer months?
@TheALG2 жыл бұрын
Yes, as long as there is humidity in the air. Still need to keep up with the watering

I am using it this year. Yes it def works! We haven’t got any rain in a month and I’m still green, and my normal dry spots are not showing.

Great video! I’m noticing some of those brown/grey heat stress areas on our lawn., too. It’s been so dry recently. We have about 7000 sq ft. How often do you apply and at what rates.? Thanks for posting - your lawn looks awesome!

I put down the liquid stuff via hose end and didn't see a difference even though I followed directions. I'm curious if the granular is any better but not sure I'm willing to spend the money.
@TheALG2 жыл бұрын
Well that sucks, I did notice a difference with the granular and it did extend the time between watering by about 1 day. When its over 95 degrees, I use to have to pull out the hose every 2 days or so. Now its every 3 days. Not much of a difference but it did help.
@sa11262 жыл бұрын
@@TheALG cool maybe I'll try it. We haven't had rain in maybe 2 months here and it's been 100+ since May
@TheALG2 жыл бұрын
Omg thats brutal. How often do you water? Maybe temps that high with months of no rain, you probably won't see a difference.

Can I fertilize along with the hydretain or does it fertilize too? I used something called ironite last year. I think that's how you spell it
@TheALG2 жыл бұрын
You most definitely can fertilize. I actually did it one time on the same day. Just be careful when fertilizing in extreme heat.
@anthonyjackson68072 жыл бұрын
@@TheALG thanks. So I assume if its hot when I apply the iron (fertilize), just be prepared to water a lot more
@TheALG2 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily but I personally avoid doing fertilizing when its 100 degrees. Unless it's milorganite ofcourse.

@@TheALG ah ok. Thanks! I appreciate it. Working to get my yard like yours
@emerickscott2 жыл бұрын
if it's hard to breathe then it's probably very humid. This helps the ground retain water. The real test for hydretain is hot and DRY. Not humid.
@TheALG2 жыл бұрын
Your right. I am no weather expert but there usually is humidity in the air, some days more then others. Hydretain won't work if there is 0% humidity.
