See how well rounded your children are. It's the fresh air, farm chores, and healthy foods. It's also their constant interaction with their parents. To them, love is a constant in ther lives. No tuning in and out on electronic devices. They have your attention. That's such an important thing in raising a child. I think most times now, that is forgotten. Art, you have such a comfortable speaking voice. I love listening to you.

I agree with you. Today - parents gave to fight to get their children off the electronics to get them outside at all. Years ago, I had to fight to get my children invthe house 😊. Game nights were Monopoly, snakes and ladders and trouble. We would draw pictures of our day to compare and I spent a small fortune on color books.

I have mentioned before that my mother grew up on a farm in Olivia NC. They had milking cows but since she played piano that was one chore she rarely did. You mention about hand cramping and that is why she rarely milked the cows. People talk about ways to bond with your children which you have shared time and time again. I can see no better way of doing this than having your kids helping you with the milking.

I can’t relate to having a cow but that store bought rotisserie chicken is something we do often. We buy a chicken, get a couple of dinners ( there are just two of us ), a couple of lunches of chicken sandwiches and then we take that carcass and broil it and then pick the meat and add it back to the broth and add veggies and noodles to make homemade chicken soup. There is not much that is better plus we get five meals out of one rotisserie chicken 😀

Have you tried raw milk? I too am lactose intolerant, and can't drink any pasteurized milk without extreme discomfort. But I can drink up to a cup a day of raw cow milk, or two cups of raw goat milk, with no problem. There are natural enzymes in raw milk which aid digestion, that are destroyed by pasteurization.

Hi Art, thank you for bringing back some good memories from when I lived with my grandparents on their farm. Everyday I would take my plastic tumbler to the dairy and my granddad would put it under the cow's teat and milk into it and by the time the tumbler was full there was froth coming over the top and I would drink it as was. Oh, what good precious memories. I love your family and the videos you make. Thank you from South Africa.

We used to get raw cow milk from a friend’s farm when I was growing up. I remember how the cream would settle at the top and we’d shake it to blend but sometimes mom would make whipped cream with it. Store milk doesn’t taste as good as milk straight from the cow.

I really get my money's worth from a rotisserie chicken. After the chicken has been served a few meals, I take the skin and bones and put in a crockpot full of water, and let it cook hours sometimes overnight to make great broth. I put it in plastic bags or in ice cube trays and use it later in soups, gravies, and sauces. It is so much better than store-bought broth, and it is almost free

This was a very special video, Art! I have a listen to it twice just because I enjoyed Your soothing voice as well as the education you brought into it. You were absolutely right about if you have a cow you were rich. My Father used to say the same thing on our farm, and when I was very young like five, we had a dairy farm and I want to know why we had so many cows and that was the quote he gave me. He sold our milk to the famous A&E dairy factory in Des Moines, Iowa...And almost always his milk was graded "A"which is the Best a Farmer could ever hope to get. Those cows helped to pay for a livelihood as well as provide milk on our table almost every meal, along with the many wonderful desserts and meals our mother cooked for us!! It was so wonderful to see you and Grace me OK your dairy cow together. The beautiful sound of the two of you *NSYNC as you milt as well as your conversation was very special and So meaningful. You were giving your children such great memories and also teaching them things they'll NEVER forget!!!I like how you give them the freedom to choose so many things call on whether they want to milk or not milk; Weather they want to be A part of the birthing of a new baby calf or not and so forth. You give him maturity and apathy where so many parents would not even invite their opinion. There's far too many parents barking orders and treating them like little soldiers "do what I say call and I I'm so thankful that you and Bri DO NOT parent that way!!! I enjoy you allowing us to share your lovely family... May God continue to bless you both as much as you bless all of us🌈♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

My kids laugh when I always pick out the goat cheese at any function. I do not remember the taste of the milk at all but like you say… it was our miracle. It kept me with several heart defects alive. Never had surgery for that. Healed over with scar tissue I suppose. Wasn’t supposed to run. Ran like the wind Wasn’t supposed to have children. Had 8 kept 5. I still grieve over the three I lost. What a fantastic video- Arthur your voice is made for narrating videos. Your children are the sweetest/ kindest children on any channel I have watched. Bri is looking good too with those magnificent twins. Cheers Denise - Australia

Those griddles are cool! You are rich with your kids too. I'm so glad you have a milking cow now. The calf looks happy. I'm so glad that Joyful helped you milk the cow. She did look really full of milk. So the little guy's name is Texas now? Thanks for this Art. I'm glad that most of you like to drink raw milk. Looks like your sister made a delicious chicken soup.
ALL the mamas on the homestead are PREGNANT!
