Something Kenner did that still hasn’t been done is playability. Kenner was ahead of its time when it came to the Jurassic park toys. They gave them so many weapon varieties, the vehicles had multiple usages. The visitor center became something that was a mix of things from the movie. Each character had a baby dinosaur, they were sturdy. I mean I can keep going on how they did an amazing job with the line, until hasbro decided to buy them and screw them over hard. The Mattel line I feel is just for collectors and displaying, and while that’s great. Kids will never live in the era that we (90s kids) did. Honestly I’m only collecting the Comic con exclusive Mattel toys because all have been great. And I have a feeling lex will come in the line as an exclusive with either dinner set with jello or kitchen set with raptor.

I think the t rex could have a effect where it's black on it's own and if you shine a light on it it's normal skin comes out like the headlights of the Ford explorer during the rex breakout

10 out of 10 for me,they went for screen accuracy,both for the look and for the recreation of the scene,and they got there with almost no flaw. On the other,I'm surprisingly agreed with you(because I always praise Mattel over the previous companies for the beautiful and better work that it's doing,for three years now,with one or two exceptions),the Kenner one is really interactive and kinda almost like what we see in the movie,and that's what I like too,movie accuracy,but not necessarily perfect accuracy,and a fun and interactive toy,so Kenner too got where it wanted to go,and this,to me,makes a rather perfect draw
