Epic had moved out before Harstem's probe and observer were on the other side and his prism was parked at the edge of the screen, so it didn't see the army go by on the right side.

can anyone explain to me why it is so good? It looks to me like you are getting 3 gas intense units which cannot fight. Yes, they allow you to scout and you can use force fields to block the ramp. Is that it? How does that allow you to make your economy better? How is it safe against early pushes? Is in it just better to make 3 stalkers and expand with the same pace?

@@dmitry5319 It is helpful because it allows us to react to 90% of terran's openings. Opening 3 stalkers would leave us in the dark as to what terran is doing, and by the time we realize it's a 3 rax or multiprong attack it may be too late to optimally counter. It makes our economy better by allowing us to take an early expand safely - we'll realize whether or not we should probe up, tech up or make mass army based on the information we gain by scouting. I hope Harstem does a video on what actions we should take based on what we scout.

@@dustytrag ok, this helps. Still the fact that sentries do not fight well alone is concerning. I guess, when any attacks comes one is already expected to have some stalkers or adepts and then sentries are great as a support unit

That truly seems insanely strong vs T especially. I love to see how Protoss 2022 is almost using Zerg 2010 tactics: low gas, expand like mad, then spam out tons and tons of early/mid units and overwhelm. Look forward to seeing you refine this over the next weeks! The objective based attacking definitely makes a lot of sense.

I think a blind cannon is a better choice behind each mineral line. It shuts down almost all early game cheese and drops. Shield batteries are not to much help vs mines or banshee, Cannon is good vs small numbers of anything if its being supported by the a few of your units.

Your "threaten eco to draw out the army" reminds me of something I used to say back when I was heavily into PvP in games in general: "Ultimately all PvP strategy boils down to making your opponent make harder decisions than you have to."

I think the battery finishing late at 4min+ in the 3rd game alsow kinda enabled you to even win thst hard at that moment beacuse it gave the terran a false empowerment that cost him a lot of army.

@Harstem that opening really makes me think of WhiteRa - he loved to open with multiple sentries and abuse that hallucination map vision and was a master of forcefields back than - he would love it im sure

The only build I've ever tried truly learning and practicing was Harstem's fast DTs in PvT. This reminds me decently of that, except you push the cost into gas with the sentries instead of stalkers, and use the minerals to take that crazy fast 3rd. Beautiful stuff cap'n

Objective Based Attacking is also a great way to understand why getting caught by siege units at your base is game ending while fighting them on the map can be a breeze. Would kinda be "Objective-Free Defending"

Every pylon, every gateway, every building. It will return to full shield afterwards. It'll drive the opponent insane. WHY do you do that? WHY? WHY?

It dies to one base all ins. Imagine trying to defend concussive shell marauders and all you have is 3 sentries and an adept. Also, tech is very delayed and if the terran builds a reaper it is very easy to figure out what you're up to (there's really no other build with 3rd base at 2:30)
