So bloody true! I started playing with a looper a few years ago, after about 50 years without such a thing. At first, it sounded like total rubbish, and it was impossible to get that timing right. But after a while, it sounded more like partial rubbish, and I was starting to get the timing to a point where it was usable. I bought an expensive, fancy looper and decided I was going to be a solo looping artist. I sold it 6 months later. I was never going to be a looping artist. But I still have a basic looper in my Fractal, and you've just reminded me how important it is to remember to use that in my practice. Thanks so much from the bottom of the world. Simon

Accountability in pedal form! Love it. Such a good lesson with practical application we can all use. Great job, as always, brother!

We all need accountability. Myself more than others though haha.

Another Top Tier Video man! I have been doing KZbin for a little over a year now and my production quality pales in comparison to your stuff. Your videos are not only musicly inspiring but they really set a high standard for high quality videos in general. Keep up the good work and you will be one of the top guitar youtubers sooner or later.

Fantastic lesson Alex! I have the ditto but struggle using it as it’s like looking at yourself in a 360 mirror.

Ever since I started practicing with my Ditto Looper I started to play "less" pentatonic runs and target the notes a lot better. The Looper is in my opinion the best practice tool.

never think to use a loop to practice my lead lines, as you did at the end. Great idea !

I absolutely suck at looping. Every time I try to do it, it sounds completely terrible and it sucks 😂 Also, I don’t like Strats, I’m more of a Tele guy but that tone is awesome :)

Which part of looping gives you the most problems? Maybe I can help!

@@SuperdangerStudios thanks. I get stuck with coming up with parts and getting them to stop and start in time mostly. I think maybe I am trying to be too clever. Keeping it basic might be the key :/

Basic is right but think of it as a bed. A painter wouldn't start with the people or the trees - start with a gentle background tone. Then gradually gradually layers. Then your solo is the people or the trees Make it fun for yourself
