This perk enables a weird (and hilarious) strategy | Dead by Daylight

Just a quick video showcasing one of my favorite "strats" in Dead by Daylight. If done successfully, it can make the Dredge's early game really strong, but it's actually quite hard to pull off lately! In-game audio is a bit quiet for the first match, please don't mind it.

Yeah but the fault with it comes with both of the cooldown and the range. If you want a good information perk you should just run tinkerer or lethal pursuer or barbecue and chili. Dredge works really well with the information perks in general but you have to go out of your way to search the locker and usually people in casual lobbies lock lockers very sparingly. As a dredge I would never take this perk because it relies on the survivors doing something and as dredge you should always be super happy when people don't lock lockers because he is legitimately incredibly oppressive when no one does that.

@@OldandAbandonedHarcorte Dredge gets more value out of Darkness Revealed because of the increased locker count, and synergizes with Lethal Pursuer's aura duration buff. Darkness Revealed almost never fails to catch someone for me, especially on certain maps like the SH high school, RPD, and The Game. Unless, of course, they're running aura blocking perks like distortion (which will block LP) and shadowstep, which BBQ won't help you with anyway. You can also use it on a whim.

Dredge is the only killer whose outfits are all amazing. From default one, to the alternative defaults to later added skins. I ran the doll skin, but I started running this new one. It's the most body horror-esque and the most fitting to a creature like Dredge. I agree with the other commenter, that this one should have been default. Not that the turkey is necessarely bad, but it's not as nightmare fuely as this one.

I think the perk where it passes on the terror radius to the obsession could be good for this build because alot of survivers hear a terror radius and jump straight into a locker so you called teleport to the same lockers and grab them that way. Also lethal might be good so get a little longer to have a look at the survivors auras

Dredge has a bunch of insane builds that have a very high chance to snowball insanely quickly. People are honestly sleeping on dredge i've played him a crap ton since he came out and he may not be Unfair/legal cheating tier like Nurse or Blight but he's def one of the stronger killers that isn't too complex they've released in awhile

If you pair the Worry Stone Add-on with the Ottomarian Writing, you can have a early game pseudo-Darkness Revealed going on. Since the Worry stone shows you the aura of a survivor that just locked a locker, and lockers tend to come in pairs, you can quickly Teleport to the other locker and catch them as they attempt to lock the second locker. I've gotten quite a few people using that pairing + Darkness Revealed for early game hooks.

You can do a very similar thing with the dredge’s worry stone addon (which shows survivor auras when they lock lockers), since lockers often spawn in groups, if you see one lock a locker, chances are they are going to lock more. You can then teleport to one of the lockers they’re about to lock, and get a grab. I find this particularly funny when someone locks every single locker in basement, and I teleport across the map and hook them in said basement

In Identity V, we have a killer called Wu-Chang (Which is actually two ghosts fused as one), they use a cursed umbrella as a weapon, and they can throw it away as a skill shot, and instantly teleport to the point where the umbrella landed. Great Wu-Chang users can basically pull off this Dredge strategy at the beginning of the match, with a delay of just 4-6 seconds, sometimes even hitting Survivors just as they left their spawning points.

Who wasn't doing this day one of the Dredge release? Lethal Pursuer or the add on that shows you which lockers are being locked achieve the same thing without having to waste your time opening lockers. I typically get one or two yoinks a match, so long as survivors bother to lock the closets.

I literally do this with Iron Maiden, Monstrous Shrine, and Agitation for a basement Dredge build that has no right to work, yet is somehow semi consistent. Tip for this: Since teleportation speed has no impact on whether the survivor is grabbed or not(They just have to start locking after the moment you initiate and it treats you as there for all intents and purposes.) pair the Ottomarion writing with the Worrystone, it's hilarious.

Another fun dredge build: Plaything/Pentimeno/Shattered Hope/ another hex perk of your choice. Wait until survivors cleanse all 5 totems, then teleport around to rekindle all of them at once. To make extra sure you pull it off, do it during nightfall for faster teleporting. To make the build spicier, create a new account to downgrade Plaything to tier 1, allowing survivors to find the totems faster. If you want to meme, play the game normally until survivors break all 5 totems. Rekindle all of them, then stop chasing survivors. You have accomplished the real objective, and so you are no longer interested in killing them.
