This is spot on. The person holding him back is his mom. I pray that he breaks free and that his mom accepts me in his life. He brokw off with me and yet before he left he said"baby, you havent lost me. I love you". But then a few days after- he blocked me. I feel like his mom threathened him by using his son. We went separate ways and then recently got back in communication, and we've not talked for 6 months until recently, because I realised I caught feelings and was pretty sure he didn't feel the same way and then finally told him.
