My son was going to drug treatment and my mother came over to see him. She prayed for him with me before she left. I went upstairs and he asked were you just up here I saw a shadow of someone in the other bedroom I told him no I was saying goodbye to your Andma. About ten minutes later a friend that had not spoke to him in 8 years called and said man you not going to believe this but God told me to call you. My son did not believe in God at that time. He had always wondered why God had not revealed himself to him when he had asked for years and when he Od years earlier. This is one of the reason he has stayed clean for five years and is a devoted Christian and is a sponsor for addict and volunteers in homeless shelters and food bank. He is on two treatment centers board. This is real. This really happened. Love you guys content and the wonderful spirit you two have.

Our job as Christians is to be representative of Christ and be a light to a dark world. Christ did not force people to believe in Him and we cannot force people to believe in Him. We believe what we believe and we do not waver. We offer it up to people and they either believe or they don't. The scripture of sowing seeds explains it well. Some seed will fall on hard ground and just die, some will fall on semi-fertile ground and will take hold but will eventually die and other seeds will fall on fertile ground, will take hold and will flourish. God is in control and there are always going to be haters. Love listening to you guys and am happy that we are siblings in Christ. God bless you both.

I absolutely have to believe in God. I am 55 years old. I've been dead three times in my life for very different reasons. When I was 12, I was hit by lightning. When I was 19, I flat lined during surgery. When I was 54, I died from Covid in the hospital. All three times I came back. I wasn't revived, or resuscitated, I just came back. It's clear to me that my heavenly father has something for me to do here before I go home to him. I have no idea what, it may be as simple as a two-minute conversation at a bus stop one day... As someone who has followed Jordan Peterson for nearly 5 years now, read his 2 most recent books, and listened to hundreds of hours of his podcasts (his or one's he's been on) as well as saw one of his lectures in person, I can say confidently that his position on this question has evolved and he actually is MORE of a believer than he was at this point, which I think was from late 2018 or early 2019. I think he, as he has investigated this deeply, is a believer, I cannot know for certain, but I believe it to be true to see how he speaks about it now. After his experiences in 2020 with being critically ill, I think it softened his heart

I think the question of god comes down to whether someone believes that there is more to our existence than this life or not. If a person believes that when we die it's all over, the lights go out and everything we are no longer exists, then they don't believe in god. A believe in god comes from knowing we existed before this life, and when we die, we move on to another existence. With that is an understanding that what we do in this life matters and is an important part in being able to move on, or progress to the next chapter in our existence. There is of course more to it than that, but that was the best short answer I could come up with without having to write a mini novel. I love you two and look forward to your future videos.

I find people who get more reactive or start attacking anyone or finding ways to break down and turn what they say...that person is being super defensive and usually their thoughts or beliefs are being challenged. I truly believe that a person grounded in their faith, nothing is going to upset or make them upset if you question or challenge them. If they do....well there's your sign. Cuz otherwise you should be able to just share and exchange ideas and info without needing to attack them. At least that's how it is for me anyways. I don't get upset if people chose to believe differently, don't like what I believe or do understand it.

I've had my faith challenged by those on the internet many times and by those from the Moorish Science Temple, which is 'loosely' based off of Islam and their five pillars (stay away from those who have el , bey/vey before or after their first/last names) There's always an easy scientific way to explain many things in the Bible actually as far as the old testament goes but for things that are more riddle like and prophetic, that's where it gets tricky. But every time I get challenged, I do my research and I only grew stronger in faith of God. I loved fairy tales as a child and I knew mythology from Egypt and Greece/Rome were fairy tales. But not the Bible. My gut tells me it was real.

I love y’all. Hopefully y’all read this, imma try n keep it short. Raised as a Baptist, became an atheist, which led me to a personal relationship with GOD. Being willing to challenge my beliefs and opinions by researching and engaging with people that disagree created an amazing spiritual growth. It also isolated me from anyone that didn’t love me for me. A blessed journey. 3rd time trying to condense this: Science taught me to “test” what I’ve been told. Reason led me to deny what I was taught as being 100% true. Then combining the 2 led me back… Religious, atheist, or agnostic; it all ends in the same place: there was a beginning (and will be an end) to our understanding of time, space, and matter. Trying to understand, claim to KNOW, or trying to prove anything beyond our time, space, or matter is a matter of FAITH. I believe that’s why Peterson is so hesitant on Jesus’ resurrection. Trying to explain the unexplainable, when you didn’t witness it, is never going to be simple. 2 Corinthians 4: 16-18 sums it up

Hey y’all, it’s me again! This video is complex, every1 should watch it at least twice. First and foremost, this is NOT an intellectual discussion between two individuals; it is another smear attempt reminiscent of the infamous BBC interview. The mediator is by no means neutral in his speech or his body language. His pandering and underhanded behavior rivals Bill Maher. JP does his best, but he struggles a bit once the audience is turned on him. We all know that unwarranted defamation by a group is JPs kryptonite. And why attack the man’s personal faith here? Regardless, I hope these two meet again in a different setting. Anyways, thx you guys. Good work, good vibes, and God bless. (PS “Almost certainly not.” That is the correct answer! That is also why the NT is so beautiful. )

@@Getsomeandestchili you seem to know very little about what was happening in this video, nothing about Bret, nothing about Sam and nothing about the relationships between them, what has gone before and what has happened after. Plus the infamous interview is Channel 4, not BBC. Luckily you have the crutch of the NT to make you feel all warm, fuzzy and Dunning-y.....
@Getsomeandestchili Жыл бұрын
@@miff227 thanks for the clarification, I knew that I got the channel wrong haha, so I just went with the most popular British news show I could think of. I can only react to this video at face value. How am I wrong about their alienation of JP? If you want to educate me about Sam and Bret, PM me. Dark horse? Also, how does belief in the NT have to be a crutch? It is foolish to criticize a book you have never read. Thanks for the reply. Ttys.

There are many atheists, especially intellectual atheists, that want Jordan Peterson to take a side, Christian or not Christian. Because if he says he's now Christian they will then discredit him and write him off. The thing about JP is that he's on his God journey, which we can't fault him for, many of us have been there. Pray for JP to fully accept Christ as his personal savior. He is almost there. ♡
@micdel1725 Жыл бұрын
Agree. I think they are more concerned because they want to be able to say "he's just a crazy Christian" to discredit him and he's not giving them that.

i doubt "atheists" is the sub-group of humans in question. Maybe attribute this to the correct group. Your "atheist" group is WAAAAAYYY off.
@wichitadisciple9874 Жыл бұрын
@@miff227 I don't doubt that atheists are the correct sub-group. Almost all the atheists I personally know, their entire purpose of existence is to insult God and those who believe in Him, a god they don't even believe to be real. Athiests claim that "god is being shoved down their throats", they're too blind to realize that it's actually the other way around!! Look at the world we live in, case closed.
@miff227 Жыл бұрын
@@wichitadisciple9874 no. Being an atheist means one thing and one thing only: answering "no" to the question "do you believe a god or gods exist?" . Anything else any human does is not them being an atheist, it's some other facet of who they are.

Jai says " I know God is real ..I know. " Then when Half said to her, " Well then you think Harris is OFF in his beliefs? " she says, " Well he has his beliefs. I can't say he's wrong but his beliefs are his things and my beliefs are mine..." Well THAT makes no sense because Jai is contradicting herself. She KNOWS there is a God just " because "...and yet she said she cannot say Harris is wrong. What? No. You cannot say GOD EXISTS AND I AM CERTAIN ABOUT IT.....and also say, THAT ATHEIST HARRIS WHO SAYS THERE IS NO GOD....well, he might be right, I don't want to say he's wrong. That is saying, " There is surely a God....but maybe there isn't." Uhhh...no. Come on Jai. And further, Jai said she knows there is a God....because of experiences she's had in life. Really? OK, like WHAT? A person cannot just make a claim that something is a fact, a reality, without providing actual data to support the claim. Again, come on Jai. You have to give actual evidence to support your claim.

@KitsyX The key words here are "your results". Any results you obtain through any personal method will be affected by your own perception, personal biases etc. Therefore any data you obtain will always be subjective.
@Jaydays818 Жыл бұрын
@Miff Evolution of data sets based on individual contribution over time also include personal bias, influence from the Era the individual lives in, as well as the distribution of data sets from each Era. This all leads to a completely subjective data set. It can't be escaped no matter how hard you try. Objective truth, Morality etc has to come from a mind before the human mind, that mind belongs to God.
