Thanks! Any other recommended rides around here?

I rode there many years ago and remember having a blast. I would suggest Marshall Canyon in La Verne which is sort nearby...that was my main riding area back in the day
@HobbyGoblinTyler4 ай бұрын
Yes Marshall Canyon is great! I’ve ridden and hiked there a few times, it’s really beautiful going up through the creek area

Used to ride there every Wednesday night with the slackers.

Yeah I've seen people go up and over the rock I rested my foot on and ride down the slab, I'm definitely gunna try the slab next time, it just looks a bit off camber.

Thanks, I appreciate it! These trails were super cool and lots more to explore. I always love a mix of rocks and flow.

Great place to ride. This is the Sycamore side, on the other side of Alessandro is the Ammo dump side. Ride here three times a week generally. Glad you enjoyed. The exploring there is excellent.
@HobbyGoblinTyler8 ай бұрын
Yes I meant to go check out the other side as well but I got lost haha. Will definitely check it out next time. What's your favorite trail in the area?
@jeffriley67748 ай бұрын
@@HobbyGoblinTyler I like trails on both sides, however the Sycamore Cyn side I prefer as I think it has more technical places and I like the bigger elevation changes. Also the trails on like strava or trail forks names as well as what people call them isn't always the same.
@HobbyGoblinTyler7 ай бұрын
Yeah I’ve noticed that quite a bit, locals using different names from Trailforks or the trails not being on there. I travel to new trail systems a lot so I rely heavily on Trailforks

How long is the climb?
@TeddyParker9 ай бұрын
My favorite place I've ridden a mountain bike so far. The terrain and features are tailor built for my style of riding. Not a huge emphasis on climbing/descents/speed. Big emphasis on technical skills.
@HobbyGoblinTyler9 ай бұрын
Yeah I'm really excited to get back out here and explore more. I think interesting tech and rock features definitely make places more unique than flow and speed. Plus not a ton of elevation here so it's easy to hit a bunch of trails in one ride.

@@HobbyGoblinTylerYep, more time becoming a better rider and less time trying to become a fitter rider (aka dying hunched over your bars)

There are mountain lions in that area. Are you riding by yourself?
@HobbyGoblinTyler7 ай бұрын
Yeah I’m generally a solo rider. I think there’s mountain lions in 90% of the places I ride. I just see it as part of the risk, just like surfing and sharks.

My complaint about riding Sycamore Canyon is most of the trails all look the same and they’re not marked.
@HobbyGoblinTyler8 ай бұрын
Yeah I looked at Trailforks like every 5 minutes out here and still got lost like 5 times.
